About Me
I was introduced to MLM many years ago when Amway was king on the hill. I busted my butt with the business and made only a couple of bucks in return. I wouldn't mention the money I spent on gas and the time it took riding across town to pick-up and deliver products.
The Rah-Rah ralleys were great experiences, great motivation. The Amway culture helped to change me from average-and-ordinary to a person with a positive outlook on life. That's about it. The money I made didn't add up to much to speak about, so I quit. My sponsor was not working on the job with me any longer, he was fired. He was not around to ask why I had given up on the dream.
One thing led to another and I wound up getting an insurance license, and joining a term insurance sales squad, whose name I won't mention. Initially the money from insurance sales was very good, but as time went by I was facing more "charge-backs" than getting sales.
Once again I had to face reality, and I vowed never to touch MLM again. Being away from the industry made me aware that there isn't a whole lot an indiviual can do to build a big business without fronting the cash in large sums.
Later I returned to MLM when a hot new product was introduced. Although I had lost faith in the old MLM marketing strategy, I felt the product on it own merited another chance at network marketing for me.
But once again I found myself having the same gut feeling "this isn't going to work". However, I am glad someone introduced me to Betternetworker. My friends and family used to shun me when they saw me coming. Not any longer! I don't have to beg them to buy anything any longer thanks to BN.
