  Welcome to LauraKennedyLive and I'm Laura Kennedy.  I am a retired Navy Senior Chief of 21 years and the proud single mom of several grown children and a brand new "grandma"!  After the Navy, I retired here in Long Island, New York.  Outside of the military, I have worked as a Project Manager and an Operations Officer for several years, but I traded Corporate America for my own business as a Brick & Mortar Business Consultant.  My goal as a business consultant has been to work one-on-one with business owners and their employees to create a work place that is cost effective but yet still efficient as well as a rewarding place that employees can be proud of being a part of.  First thing I noticed with expansion of opportunities on the internet, was that one of the biggest skills that Brick & Mortar business owners needed to learn was how to expand their marketing and resourcing endeavors into the virtual world.  So, I have expanded my business to include education and coaching on internet marketing as well as social media.  As my own business has grown, I have had the wonderful opportunity to engage and interact with a number of great people and  resources within the Virtual Assistance world and have added their services as a front runner in my consulting business and work daily to match up VAs with new clients within the Brick & Mortar world.
