About Me
A little background....
Hello everyone,
I'd first like to start off by saying that I feel very forunate to be invited to become a part of such a powerful community full of well diversed yet like-minded individuals. I was born and raised in the south, Mississippi to be exact, and I love the warmth and close knitted realtionships most southerners share, which is why I still reside here. I was raised by two wonderful parents who have been married for over 25 years, whom I can honestly say have given me a beautiful blueprint of what a marriage should be, so I do know what to look for, somewhere waaaay down the road whenever that time comes!(lol) I also have a younger sister which whom I love dearly. She'll be graduating from college next summer with a degree in Psycology, which makes me very happy as well. In my spare time, I like to do most of the regular guy stuff like watching and playing sports, traveling, etc... Lately however, I really try to spend more of my time growing closer to God and researching more about the opportunity that I've currently decided to pursue, being cash gifting....
I've always believed that I have something special within....
For as long as I can remember, I've always considered myself very blessed to able to recognize what my true gift from God was. I hate to sound too cliche, but my parents can verify that every since the age of three, it was very clear that I had a gift for dancing. It was first recognized by my mother at their wedding reception back in 83'. I vaguely remember it because I was so young, but my mother periodically tells me that people were enjoying the occasion, and I was just sitting in a chair being the very shy and quiet child that everyone knew me to be when all of a sudden, an up tempo song started to play and out of nowhere I jumped up out of my chair and just started dancing! At first, all the people were doing the typical adult thing which was smile and cheer on the "cute little boy" having a ball at his parents reception. However, soon thirty minutes past, then an hour past, and I was still going. Before they knew it, their small son found himself in the middle of a circle of the entire party, and the adults started to realize that I wasn't just your average little kid having fun, I really had something special. One of the people in the crowd was a very well known "breakdancer" around the city, and he asked my mother if I could join his group. Obviously, she was skeptical at first being that I was so young, be she decided to let me join because she knew I had something special. Just like that, my dancing career was born.
I'm going to take the world by storm!....
Years past, and I continued to build a reputation for myself as one of the best, if not the best urban dancer in my area, no arrogance intended but it's totally true. I could pretty much do anything that was being done by the stars on television, which is why my rep grew so rapidly. I could literally watch a music video from any one of the top entertainers at that time, and within 30 to 45 mins., I'd have their entire rountine down to a tee, and it came easy for me. That's how I realized for myself that I had a gift. As a matter a fact, I can still do that till this very day. I come from a church based family of singers, unfortnately for me, that gift was obviously not one I possess!(lol) However, I have a younger cousin that does. We began to do talent shows together around town, and at the age of 12 he was discovered by a record label representative and sign to a major contract! We absolutely could not believe it! All of our dreams of taking the music world by storm was about to come true! He became the fourth member of an Atlanta based group by the name of Descent Xposure, on LaFace Records in 96'. The group shot their first video for the single "Going Crazy", and of course I was a featured backup dancer. Everything was about to really take off!
Disaster Strikes....
Nothing could've prepared our young minds for what was about to happen next. Sadly, the overall manager for the group had his own plans, and decided to embezzle a vast amount of the group's budget money provided by the label. He was caught eventually, and due to bad business practices, the label decided not to proceed and the group was dropped from the label. We were devastated. Just like that, it seemed to be over. Around this time I was about to graduate high school, and my father decided that I should learn about the "real world" and begin to work while I started college, so that's what I did. I continued to do so even after my college experience and I began to conform to "real world" principles of what is typical for survival in society. I began to focus soley on going to school and finding a good job to make a living, basically putting my dream of professional dancing on the backburner.
Fortunate but still not Happy....
Now please don't get me wrong, I love my parents and especially my father in this instance because he taught me what it was to be a productive and priority inclined man. I was fortunate to be blessed with some pretty good jobs over the years, considering the cost of living in my particular region, but they never worked out for me because I knew that I wanted something more than just the typical everyday lifestyle. I'm not saying by any means that there's something wrong with that, it just did not make me happy. I simply wanted something more out of life, for myself and my family, and I've always believed I was put here to achieve more.
Regaining Confidence to Push towards my Dream....
More years past, and I really began to give up on my dream. I felt like I was too old to be a dancer, and that it just wasn't meant for me to achieve what I had hoped for. Nonetheless, my nine to five was making me miserable because I knew I could contribute so much more to the world. I always knew that I eventually wanted my dancing career to open up a door to entrepreneurship, and with that in mind, I just decided in my heart that I would pick up at the proper stage in my plan for success I made years prior. Since I was no longer involved with anything musically, I tried to think of the next best thing that I'd enjoy doing that could lead me back to my dream. That's when I thought of something that I believe will be around until the end of time, and has endless financial potential, the internet. Though I was totally green to the steps of becoming an entrepreneur, especially online, I began to search the internet for opportunties. Needless to say, I got a very quick hard earned lesson about the dark side of internet business. I used my credit card on my first venture and was scammed for a little over $8,000. I felt terrible. How could I be so stupid? It took me about seven years to pay off that debt and overcome my fear of pursuing anything else on the net. I was able to get even another $2,000 credit card, and I used it to join an MLM company, that failed as well. All it seemed I was doing was creating foolish debt for myself. However, I've always been a fighter, and once I set my mind on something to conquer I never quit until I succeed. My persistance in my search eventually brought me to the opportunity that I'm currently an active participate of, which is cash gifting. I quickly realized how powerful this strategy was, how simple it was, and how effectivly it could create financial freedom for me which would allow me to get back into doing what I love most, music. All I had to do was find the right program to join and everything would just flow from there, right?
My uphill journey with gifting helped me create the proper Mindset for success....
I had no idea that just accomplishing that would be one of the hardest things for me to do. It wasn't necessarily the programs I was joining, but the mentors I was joining under, or so I thought at first. During my quest, I've joined four different programs, only to find that all of my so called "mentors" were basically doing the same thing, selling me a dream to join under them, and sending me to a backoffice and saying "try your luck" from there, forcing me to play the ruthless "trial and error" game. I've been a gifter for a little over a year now, and I will be the first to tell you that my past experiences up until this point with gifting have really been a learning experience for me. Needless to say, even though I figured my overall pretty good judgement of an individual's character would be enough to find the right "mentor", I never experienced the "2 to 7 day success" that they claimed to help so many other people achieve. However, my past experiences have made me realize that even though I felt betrayed by these people, I had the wrong MINDSET all along. I've learned that instead of focusing on a certain individual, you have to know within yourself that you can indeed achieve whatever it is that you set out to achieve simply with your own BELIEF and your own PERSISTENCE. When you understand this concept, you put yourself on the right track to know that even if you do come across some bumps along the way that make you feel defeated, you have to convert your bad experiences to positive energy and learn from the valuable lessons they taught you. That is the very reason why I'm still a gifter today and I know I can be a great asset to anyone who needs me. I can truly say that I've developed a love for meeting and helping people who are honest, self-motivated, and willing to help others, which is my sole reason for joining the BN community, and know that through God they truly can achieve any and everything if you simply BELIEVE and ACT on your BELIEFS!
P.S. Oh yeah, through his persistence, my younger cousin was blessed last year to be signed to another recording contract with Big Yates/Atlantic Records! The name of the group is Unique Image, be sure to keep that in mind as you should be hearing from them later this year! Just another prime example that if you BELIEVE, with PERSISTENCE you can ACHIEVE! Who knows, maybe I'll still get a chance to cut a step or two after all!(lol)
Wishing you all the best,
