THE BEGINNING OF THE END

Everything starts and ends with a dream and in my case, that dream was in network marketing.  In 1996, after my 4-year tour of duty as a U.S. Marine, I came back home to Detroit, Michigan with the healthy ambition of a new life seated firmly in my mind. This mindset was the result of bumping into a guy who shared a really good motivational cassette on the 22-hour flight home from Japan.  I had about $18k in the bank that I saved up while overseas and the belief that I would stake my claim in network marketing instead of looking for a regular job at home. "I'm gonna do this!!!" (Oh it gets better from here!)

The first company that I found in network marketing was one that wanted me to market some crazy water purification system and some related vitamins and stuff. I had to pay $500 to become a business owner (my upline got paid that) as well as purchase my own product starter kit at about $250 for the starter package (my upline got her hands on that too).  Then I was told to complete a memory jogger list of 100 friends and family to "plug into" my new network marketing business.  After that, I had several office meetings and home parties with strangers trying to beat my friends and family over the head to make a sale IN MY PARENTS HOUSE.  Long story short, let's just say that my family laughed at me for months, my network marketing business never got off the ground, I lost about $4000 total (that went into either my upline's pockets or my own, "I really don't know how to market or what I'm really doing in network marketing but here goes," expenses) trying to set up and advertise my network marketing business (that I was never OFFICIALLY enrolled in and which would later end up being shut down as a pyramid scheme a few years later... Probably because of my shady upline's business tactics).  I gladly found a few jobs and worked my ASS OFF to stay Just-Over-Broke. BUT I DIDN'T GIVE UP!!!

THE NEXT BIG THING IN NETWORK MARKETING

Okay, so in 1999, one of my cousins hit me with the classic, 3-ft rule, pique interest approach to come out and get money for free. Now he was in a suit (he NEVER wore a suit ever) and was excited about how he didn't have time to wait on me when he ordered me to say YES or NO.  I actually went with him just to see how he got that damn suit!  This was my first introduction to my next network marketing company and getting people to join my business was easy because I got a free replicated website, never had to run an autoship and giving away a FREE long-distance telephone service business was so freaking easy!  When I saw that I was still making ZERO BUCKS after almost a year, I jumped to another network marketing company (an off-shoot company under the same FREE business concept too.) where I signed up all of my family and friends AGAIN for more local and long distance phone services.  After 6 months, I realized that giving away FREE businesses makes no money and I closed that business and shredded my geneology list in 2002. (One of my GREATEST mistakes ever... Shredding the list.)

IT MUST BE MY FAULT THAT I FAILED

My next few ideas about network marketing between 2002 and 2004 were far from becoming a millionaire in this industry.  I honestly really wanted to make a couple hundred dollars a month to feed my Best Buy "New Releases on DVD" addiction.  I started to feel like an MLM Failure, BUT I DIDN'T GIVE UP!!! I followed a well known guy from one of my previous companies who was kinda like the juice king (He's really a company jumper.) All I got from the experience were a ton of lost friendships, destroyed credibility in both my corporate job circle and in network marketing as well as 12 extra bottles of juice that nobody wanted from me. (Ever tried to drink noni juice as a soft drink? ~*barf*~)

THE BIRTH OF THE "NO-HYPE" GO-GIVER

Fast forward to January 2010.  I found another juice company asking myself why so many juices? (Believe it or not, there's A LOTTA JUICE opportunities in the network marketing industry.) In many ways, this particular company showed me that there is a better way to network marketing if one could leverage the power of the internet.  I decided to take advantage of my knowledge and experiences over the years and apply those lessons learned to my present company and give it one more try believing that THERE MUST BE A BETTER WAY!!! The truth hit me like a brick immediately:

***  HOW AND WHERE WILL I FIND NEW AND FRESH PROSPECTS? ***

But there was an even bigger issue that I had never considered: 

"If I continue to promote the HYPE of the company brand, compensation plan, products, services and leadership team just like I had in my previous network marketing companies, then how will I benefit in network marketing?" 

This single question sparked a jaw-dropping revelation in my mind and identified the only reason why I had slim-to-marginal success in my previous ventures...

Why not start promoting the only BRAND in the network marketing industry that really matters: *ME*

I mean why not right? My upline from my last big network marketing company (ya know, where I sponsored like 2 people lifetime) branded himself and other big names in other great companies branded themselves also.  I mean these "Company Rockstars" even have their own downline business partners religiously promoting them (i.e.- He/She's the TOP EARNER and MILLIONAIRE Gold Coin Black Platnium Diamond Presidential Pearl Promotee such and such in our network marketing company!!!) instead of promoting themselves. Why couldn't I do the same?  Since I didn't produce huge numbers for any company before, I hit the internet and found out that THE COMPANY, COMP PLAN, PRODUCTS AND LEADERSHIP TEAM (to a point) DOES NOT MATTER!!!  In the "internet world " I could brand myself before I even signed up for ANY opportunity and walk into ANY company with IMMEDIATE SUCCESS!!!  So in February of 2010, I did just that while connecting with some of the most dynamic internet marketers on the planet to LAUNCH my network marketing business on a double dose of steroids:

"NO-HYPE" ROCKS!!!

Now almost 14 yrs after I got my feet wet in this industry (most of it actively FAILING @ it), I'm finally realizing the success that I dreamed of as a young 23 yr old.  Millionaire? Not yet, not by a long shot, but I'm a whole lot farther along than having a 2 person downline and making ZIP-ZILCH-ZERO DINERO.  The power and LEVERAGE of the internet as well as becoming a student of ONLINE AND OFFLINE MARKETING has given me the tools and knowledge to literally CRUSH IT in the network marketing industry.  I have been able to position myself as a top-tier recruiter in my primary business as well as a growing success story in the top attraction marketing system on the internet:

Now all of the dropping flyers on cars in the supermarket parking lot, trying to pique interest at a Real Estate Agent's open house, 1000 name memory jogger, stalking people at Starbucks and Panera Bread, etc. I've been there and done that already for almost 14 years.  Now it's time for VALUE in the network marketing industry without the HYPE! - - - - I hope that I can provide that here on this site without giving the network marketing industry or myself a bad name...
