My story begins about as early as I can remember. When I was a child I wanted nothing more than to own a business of my own and to be my own boss. However, growing up in a family that advised me to "get a real job" caused me to think twice about it and stray from the entrepreneurial path for a long time. Of course, it wasn't really my family's fault but my own for allowing them to determine my future. The only other thing I ever wanted to do was become a Marine so that's the route I chose. Looking back, it was a great decision!

After I had served my time in the Marine Corps, I did what most people do which was get a job and go to school. After all, I had bills to pay and I couldn't depend on those bi-weekly checks from the government any longer. No problem because I had gotten a pretty good job that would allow me to pay the bills and have a little fun every now and then. In fact, my job was providing me with a good enough income to drop out of school. I assumed that having a good job was what life was all about.

I gotta say, having a job got old real quick and that entrepreneurial spirit began to emerge in me once again. I remember thinking so many times, "how can anyone do this for a long period of time?" I moved around from one job to another hoping to find the perfect one that would bring me happiness. However, that never happened and instead, I became more and more frustrated. It wasn't until I saw an ad in the newspaper of someone promoting a home based business that I realized there may be some hope. It sounded too good to be true so I picked up the phone.

The lady on the other end, introduced me to Excel communications and I was happy to attend a local meeting to learn more about it. In fact, I took action and signed up that same night of the meeting and began my initial career in the MLM industry. I had never heard of anything like this and was extremely excited to get started.

I quickly realized that I was absolutely horrible at all aspects of the business and although I had some initial success with a few friends and family members, it was short lived and I was back to working at a job. However, I never gave up the dream and was back at it a few years later with another company and I had a decent amount of success with it but not the kind I had hoped for. Besides that, I couldn't relate to the products and had a hard time talking with others about it.

This is where Zija International comes in. Since a lot of my working career has been in the health & fitness industry, I was eager to learn about the products that Zija offers. One of my best friends and a fellow Marine (Triple Diamond Kevin Brassell) introduced me to it and although I was initially not interested in another MLM opportunity, I finally signed up and found that the products where absolutely amazing. In fact, they helped me to totally end my allergy issues and also took care of my knee pain, back pain and other joint pains associated with years of running and performing strenuous exercises.
