Dave Marsh

After high school, I attended Oberlin Conservatory of Music as a trumpet major, but left after 3 semesters and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in January 1966. Entered the Naval Nuclear Power Program and spent my first 10 years going to Navy schools, serving on submarines, and 3 years as an instructor at the Nuclear Power Training Unit in Ballston Spa, NY (near Saratoga Springs--choice duty!), which is where I met my wife of 36 years (on a blind date, no less). After 10 years, I was commissioned and spent the rest of my career (after a 3-year tour on the USS Enterprise) in submarine repair and overseeing shipbuilding efforts at Electric Boat in Groton, CT. I retired in 1986 and we still live in southeastern CT (Gales Ferry, part of Ledyard, of Foxwoods Casino fame).

Since then I have worked in a variety of IT roles: database programming and design, Help Desk Administrator, Network Admin, and until April 2009, technical writer. Most of these were contract positions at Pfizer, Inc and for the most part I was very happy. But as Pfizer grew and the economy shrank, things changed and when my last contract expired, continuing the same type of work at another company would have meant hours of travel daily and (probably) less pay. I also came to the stark realization that if I wanted to maintain my standard of living, I would have to work till I drop dead, and I didn't find that very appealing. My wife and I deserve better, so I started looking for a better way, and found this wonderful industry of Network Marketing. Now I've developed a nice (and steadily growing) income to supplement my Navy retirement. LIFE IS GOOD!

On a personal note, we have 4 grown sons, all of whom are married, and 6 beautiful grandchildren ranging in age from 14 down to 4. Five of them are nearby in CT and RI, while the fifth is in Wilmington, NC. Our decision to start a home-based buiness has given us more time freedom to get down there for more frequest visits.
