I was educating people with the laws on the books guaranteeing people with disabilities the right to an education, therefore, my teachers didn't understand that I've are differently. I grew up in a family we agree with a lot of physical, emotional, and verbal abuse so I had low self-esteem most of my childhood. It was not until I entered college and began to study in the field of mental health and psychology that I learned to respect myself and build my own self-esteem. Even though I had poor early education I still hold an AAS in mental health, BS in psychology, and credits towards a masters in rehabilitation counseling.

I entered the workforce 15 years before ADA became law and since I couldn't find gainful implement with our company decided to establish my own business. This has put me above the curve, so I understand why other people are going through during these trying times and poor economy. There are alternatives for people to explore to find gainful employment in the year willing to take the opportunity. My company is Career Performance Institute. I work with clients to help them find their passion and build it into a successful business. I also help clients understand what the limiting beliefs are and have to change their mindset, so they can make the right decisions for themselves in both their personal and business life.
