WHO I AM…

I’m nearly thirty (30) years young in age, and reside in Pretoria only due to reasons of employment. I am a very much family orientated young individual, and within this context, found myself in a position where I am beginning a family of my own. My character attributes, includes being analytical, goal-focused and naturally charismatic and possess a lateral mind frame. I have also in countless instances proven to be a good team player and self-motivated or enthusiastic, my general good health also adds to my expressed energy.

STRENGTH TRAITS: I learn and adapt to new and unfamiliar environments very quickly. I am an opportunity seeker and always look forward to new challenges. I can work well under pressure and always try to be committed to deadlines. I am a confident communicator and also possess great interpersonal skills, and the use of these traits has seen me to communicate with different stakeholders, whether in government or public institutions, private or corporate companies and even at a personal level with any business figure, exceptionally well at all levels.

WEAKNESS TRAITS: I do not take failure very well as it sometimes, if not often, affects my self-confidence. I can only work on a few things at a time, because attempting to multitask has seen me lose focus on main objectives of complex tasks at hand. I sometimes find myself not procrastinating enough with regards to decision making, and this trait has shown its potential danger a couple of times, leading me to poor decisions made due to not having enough required information.

BACKGROUND

Before completion of my secondary education, I was overwhelmed by the idea of becoming a future computer software programmer, with hopes of developing a company of my own within that industry after gaining a couple of years’ experience. Post-Matric in 2000, I enrolled for Bsc Comp Science at the University of North-West (Mmabatho Campus), but given the unproductive study environment at the time, saw me opting to withdraw from my studies during 2001, not by performance but by choice.
Late in 2001, I was offered once yet an opportunity to further my educational profile, this time though with the choice of my ideal institution limited to its financial requirements. Early in 2002 Cape Technikon became, amongst other public educational institutions that qualified for my then current financial qualification, the choice of study environments. Since I was very late with my application for enrolment, I could only be offered a position to enrol for ND: Environmental Health, which I later qualified in within the qualification’s prescribed study period of three years and graduated in 2004. Even during my studies this time, I always had a dream of establishing and running my own company predetermined by my studies.

It was only during 2005, although having had not so clear interest within the financial services industry in my past, it became a definite interest I wanted to pursue. This made me to open a financial services company (Arito Investments cc.) with a remarkable individual who shared the same interest, and began operation with stock picking from Future Stock Markets Trade. Due to lack of experience the company lost most of its investments causing it to become inactive in its operations but never became dissolved. I still am the founder and head director of the inactive company, which recently began its operations again. In 2007, another small firm (Wat Se Entertainment cc), owned by yet another individual close to me approached me under consultation to assist him in steering his recently registered company in the desired course of route within the business context. After a few consultations and being of assistance as a financial officer during the first two projects, I bought equity within his company, to which we are currently under the finalisation of directors’ agreement.

VALUE PROPOSITION

In 2005, I got employed by the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) as an Environmental Health Practitioner – Community Service. I successfully completed the Community Service in 2006, as prescribed by the Health Profession’s Council of South Africa, which I still currently an affiliate of. I was later in 2006 employed as an Environmental Health Practitioner in the same organisation I was earlier employed by.
My vocational experience in other sectors and environments, such as Restaurants (intermittently for an effective period of seven years since 1999), Radio (for three years during my tertiary education at Cape Technikon Radio), Property Sales (very briefly at Jana Reinecke Properties during February and April 2006), Direct Marketing (also very briefly at R.I.Direct Marketing and Distributors during May and June 2006), and Financial Services (Old Mutual as a Personal Financial Advisor during July and November 2006) attributes immensely towards his acquired skills.
My passion in financial services, which blossomed in 2005, grew in intensity since then, encouraging me only to seek more knowledge before re-attempting operation with my company. I then, in 2007 enrolled for a Bcom. Financial Management with UNISA – part-time studies and due to lack of study time I had to pause my studies.

For a real value proposition to you, I am offering my qualities to you and your business, with the view of exploiting my expressed intrinsic value, beneficial to both your business and myself. Loyalty is no question, as I would hate to disappoint anybody who trusts and relies on my loyalty. Honestly speaking, I would kill to make partner, with intentions to become a non-executive director in some future.

I hope that my proposition to you will be considered strongly as I have good organisational and administration skills and I am a fast learner. I perform my duties at my current employment with effort and due care and I have proven to be reliable and trustworthy.
