Hello!

I'm DiEdra Stinson from Illinois.
I became a Network Marketer by accident - literally. 
Okay, well, let's just say that I was recovering from
back surgery after being hurt on my j.o.b.  I say that
injury was a blessing in disguise.  Because of it I
have not been able to work a traditional job since.

How does this relate to my NM story? 
While unable to walk 5 years ago and having issues
with my employers insurance company regarding my
short-term disability, a relative introduced me to 
her business services which she offered me, 
suggesting I become a member to have professional
help to deal wih the insurance company and get the
money due me.  
I did.  It worked! 
Then she told me her parent company had a network
marketing division, that maybe I'd like to join to make
some money from home since I couldn't get out and
work.  I jumped on it, not really understanding the
industry, and not knowing what "networking" meant. 
But I'd learned a lesson the last days of working
for someone else - no matter how sick you are,
you're just a machine and no one truly cares
as long as you can make the company money.

But I've in NM, doing the same thing ever since. 
I still consider myself very new to the industry
because I've not had the success others have had
in much less time.  But it was because of me,
not the business model.   Though there are definite
challenges - we are a people business, after all, and
people can be challenging - I still battle the physical
challenges, as well, of  "networking" the traditional way...
getting out every day and meeting people,
but I have to do something to take care of myself. 
It has not been easy, but I'm here for life. 
And I'll get there. I know it.

I was attracted to BN'er because of the name -
and being familiar with Mike Dillard.
I knew he wouldn't be a part of any crap,
and there is way too much of that out there, 
so I signed up.  I want to learn what the community
is all about, see how things are done so that I can
become a  "BETTER NETWORKER".
