About Me
I'm a 42 yr. old Mom with a daughter born in 2002. She's my pride and joy. I used to be a Superintendent/Architect for 11 yrs. till back in 2005 I was exposed to toxic levels of mold @ the job site. No one knew why I kept feeling sick & it took about 10 months to take over my lungs, and when I couldn't breath anymore, I took myself to the ER. No treatment was helping & I kept getting worse. I was intubated and then later trached as I spent about 4 months in a drug induced coma and coded 3 times. I went in 138# and in very good shape. I came out 97#, with very little hair, and blind due to meds they used to keep me alive. After having my lenses replaced, I learned to read, write & had to learn living skills all over again. Due to this exposure & illness, I'm now disabled and unable to work in public as I continue to catch rare things in my lungs due to a low immune system. I went from making a decent living to a little disability check. I decided to take things into my own hands and make the changes in my life to make it possible for me to make the money I deserve. I figure I've already made it through the hardest thing I'll ever do in my life, that this, with time, patience & dedication, there isn't anything that I can't do. I'm continuing on the road to recovery and as of Aug of 2007, I've been taken off the Lung, Liver and Kidney transplant list. The Dr's say I will have to live with these conditions for the rest of my life, but I proved them wrong when they told my family I wasn't going to live through the coma. Now I'm here to prove everyone wrong. I WILL make more money than what disability sends to me every month. Life is so worth living and I'm going forward...full steam ahead.
