Emilio Mendez

I grew up in Chicago, with my mom and 2 brothers. After high school, I decided I wasn't ready for college, so I enlisted in the U.S Marine Corps. This was one of the biggest transformational experiences of my life. I still draw on some of the training & leadership skills that were instilled in me.

After returning home from the military and joining the workforce again, I attended college in the evenings. But it wasn’t long before I decided that college wasn’t for me. School always came easily, but after my professor with a PHD. told me what he earned in a year, I knew it wasn’t for me. (I was already earning more, working for the telephone co.) So I finished the classes I was enrolled in but made no plans to return. Soon thereafter I started investing in Real Estate with my brother.

Then I lost it all...
So, I kept my day job, we took some Real Estate investing classes and we set off to corner the market. It took some time for things to get going but when they did…it was pretty amazing. One day I finally decided to fire my boss & to my complete surprise, the market tanked and we slowly & painfully saw our business evaporate. Not only was I completely broke, but because I was still holding Real Estate, I was also in severe debt…with no income.

The Home Business World...
I was introduced to network marketing, during those years of success in Real Estate, I became involved in several companies but never really applied myself to grow the business. I bought into the story that “you’re getting in at the perfect time, your up-line is going to build this business around you” . I thought I was going to make millions only to be left with cases of juice in my cupboard and garage. It wasn’t long before I was jumping from company to company.It wasn’t until later that I realized the companies weren’t at fault. I knew the potential of network marketing…but I had a lot to learn.

I experienced setbacks and failures, until I realized that as long as I learned a lesson from the experience it couldn’t be a failure. I read that when Thomas A. Edison was interviewed, he was asked how he kept going after 10,000 failed attempts, his reply blew me away.He said he had not failed 10,000 times, instead he discovered 10,000 ways not to make the light bulb. I knew I could do this, I would do this.

The world of online marketing…showed up in my inbox
Late one night, I was online doing some research on building a network marketing business. when I decided to check my email before calling it a night. There it was…an email from some guy I didn't know.(He must have bought a list;) This email introduced me to the world of online marketing. To think I almost deleted it because I didn’t recognize the sender. Fortunately for me, I opened it and the email seemed to describe what I had just been searching for. Coincidence…I think not. I decided to get real training and coaching from some of the best internet marketers in the industry.

So here I am...
Because of the training I received and continue to receive combined with my commitment to persevere, I am finally achieving success in this industry. Enough to keep me from having to get a job that I wouldn’t really have my heart into.

I see the power of internet marketing. You can build your own LIST, you can have your own following. I've learned about social networks, I see myself being a top earner in my company very soon. I see the big picture. All I need is within me.
