About Me

I have just recently started joining a MLM company (Amway) as a distributor. I am current out of job and have been doing temperory and contract basis job for more than 2 years. I hope that this will really end the cycle of going from job to job.

I am also now pursusing ACCA but didn't manage to finish as it is very hard to pass and it is very costly (even the exchange rate for pound has drop but the fee has increased). Most employers actually like the qualification after I have graduated but wouldn't like me to study part-time. They are afraid that I would have to leave early to go for classes at night and can't do overtime when  need. They are also afraid that I would increase the workload of other colleagues when I go for exam. That's why when I earned enough for my course, I would go back study taking one paper at a time when I have no job. It sure take longer than expected and have to study all over again when the standards keep changing.

It isn't my wish to go from one job to another. It is just that the jobs that are been offered to me are mostly temporary and I am not picky. I take on the job when there is a job to survive. But the interviewers keep asking why I keep taking up temp jobs as though I like it. When I did offer a permanent job, my boss would say I am not suitable after just one or two months of working. I done all they ask me to do and even work into the late hours. My sister also have the same problem of finding a job that would last. Actually it is the bosses nowaday are being very picky. They want cheap labour, fast worker (I have one boss that actually timed my speed every hour) , good qualification and long experience.

Maybe I not good at selling myself to the interviewers. I don't like to make promises that I don't keep. Maybe that why I don't make it appealing to them.

I am actually recommend by my sister. I have joined firstly because of the ideal of financial freedom (I don't like the feeling of having no money in the wallet when I go out). Even I have eaten before I go out and bring my own water bottle, I still need to pay for the transport and to buy bread on the way when I hungry. I wouldn't dare to meet up my friends for meal cause I wouldn't know whether I can afford to pay for the meal.

Secondly I like some of the products. My sister is being recomended by her boss. The problem with this team I am in is everyone know how to ask firends to join in. They can say the products are so good and the compensation plan is so simple. But they don't know how to teach and they don't follow what they teach.

It is the leader of the group that has inspired me to join. He didn't even graduated from junior school yet he and his wife can become a founder crown ambassador in Amway, earning at least 6 digit of money. My dad also didn't graduate from junior school and he drive a cab. Yet he always complain that he is broke at month end and he didn't keep saving when he was younger and spend every cents. Now he keep complaining that he is now old but have to keep working just to earn a living.

Hello Emily, Where some people are saying "Sorry to hear you are "Out of Job". I'll say, few jobs ever make someone wealthy let alone $ comfortable. You Might want to read the book The millionaire maker by Loral Langemeir. There is an article capsulizing it on my page. Any way you have done several things correct already. Joining B/N and having Connie loeschen and Adrian Armstrong offering assistance. Both are wonderful to work with. By clicking the connect button the line of communication will be open between us, so do not hesitate to act upon the invitation. But be warned I am a hoot to work with. This is a serious but FUN business, Its a people business.!! Best wishes, Tom Savas
