Hello everyone. My name is Erasmo Velez.

Thanks for taking a look at my page. "The reason why I started a profile is to network and meet and influence new friends.

After 7 years of working in the Mortgage industry, I came to the conclusion that there's never security in any job. Now with how the market is, it's not the right time to be involved.
Now I'm moving on to different heights in my life.

I want to give back to others who are in the situation just like I was... and hopefully my story can help inspire you to discover a better alternative just like I did. But before I get into all of that... let me just tell you a little bit more about myself..."

I was born in Puerto Rico , but raised in the Bronx, N.Y. I come from a family of 6. Three sisters and two bothers. The Brady Bunch... hahaha. Growing up as the oldest male in the home, my childhood was not G.I Joe or Water guns.

I want you to understand that I grew up in a poor family. Where at the age of 8 I was already working at a grocery store (or bodega)for 10yrs of my childhood.

The reason why I started working at that age, and I will never forget my mothers words she said "If you want something. go bend your back", was to get what I wanted in life. And at that point in my life was that my family had dinner on the table to eat. Or that when the holidays came around I was able to provide the turkey for Thanksgiving or a toy from the store for Christmas. This is just part of growing up. This doesn't include other episodes in my life that made me the person that I am today.

Today, I still have the same qualities that someone can have when feeling happy in life and can help others feel the same way as well.

Now because of the neighborhood where I grew up at there were other things in life that I've gone through. That weren't always sunny. I made some mistakes and started associating myself with the wrong crowd. That got me into a lot of trouble or should I say " I put myself into this mess". During these phases in my life I always thought about and asked myself "What am I going to do with myself" or questions like " Is this what I want". I have people that love me and respect me for what I've done. I have a family to look after. I still have people that need my help. But it was too late my troubles just begun.

I decided that it was time for a change. I got married and moved to where I currently live Grand Rapids, MI. Which was a huge culture shock to me because I'm use to having Rice and Beans for dinner...

I got involved in Real Estate as well as Mortgages. had some successful yrs. Did that for 7yrs. Met some great people, that still to this day, have great business relationships and friendships. Today I have friends in different parts of the world.

Now I have a Daughter. My tables are turned and decisions are now based on her future. And that's when I decided that I need to go into business for myself.

Now as a Dad, I have an obligation to my daughter, I want to provide for her what I didn't have as a child and most important mold her into a person with the same heart of gold I have, to always have open arms to others in need of help.

Working for myself is the best decision I've made in my live. This has given me the opportunity help more people and also provide and support my family. I travel to different parts of the world and have met some great people.

My life today is full of great opportunity to do what i enjoy. And that's helping people and as well being able to spend more time with my love ones. I no longer have to think about making sure that food is on the table for me or family. I'm grateful for how my life and what it turned out to be.

And because I was given the hand of opportunity, I'm able to build a future for me and my family from the comfort of my home.

This is just a bit about me. How about you? Where are you in you're life? and What are you doing to change other lives

Get back to me with your answers.

And I'll share more about myself.

Have a Fantastic Day!

Erasmo Velez
