My name is Forest Marie and I'm just another soul going through a human experience!  And aloso Network and Internet Marketing Specialist with thousands of students from the USA down to the Philippines including successful Network and Internet Marketers, business owners, a high school principal, professional salesmen, work at home moms, and many other types of people from various backgrounds.

Through my collaborations, I have helped individuals make their first dollar online – many times without picking up the telephone.

But here’s an interesting stat you need to consider:

Two years ago, I was definitely feeling that pain and considered quitting.  I was investing $300-$500 every month but seeing very little return.

Frustration began to set in.  But I told myself I was in an industry I really knew very little about and one they do not really teach in school.

I was a serious crossroad.  Should I quit and continue working as a software engineer the rest of my life with no backup plan or should I hang around and figure out how to make good money from the comfort of my home.

I asked my upline for advice and was told (again!) to make a list of my friends and family and just “show them the plan.”  Well, that did not sound like an approach a real professional marketer should do, so I didn’t do it.  And I still never have.  I did one “home party” and that never felt natural either.  And no one signed up.  

I purchased newspaper ads and that results in some success, but it was not the type of success I was looking for.

My upline offered no support here and said “I” was the problem because the “system” was completely “duplicatable.”  And I just needed to make my list and call them.

In the end, all this did was cause separation between me and my upline.  I refused to play by their “duplicatable” rules.  The reality is I LOVE duplication, but not the duplication of soliciting my friends and family and EVERYONE else I know.

At this point, I was not enthused about the entire “home based business” industry.  But I’m a very stubborn person and I absolutely despise not figuring something out.

So, refusing to fail, I moved my focus to Internet Marketing and started looking for a way to market online.  And this became a very interesting search as I discovered within ten minutes that there is A LOT of BS online!

I couldn’t tell you how many times I saw ridiculous claims and “opportunities” with no product or service being moved.  It just seemed like what I call “money tag.”

The ads, however, were very impressive.  They made it sound like you give them $100 and get $1000 back without doing a thing.  All of these “opportunities” like this were no older than a year.  More than 90% of them had no phone number to call or corporate address.  And their Web Sites all looked like they were put together by someone who was developing their very first Web Site.   

But I continued looking, learning and reading more about Internet Marketing.  I started to converse with leaders who were building successful enterprises online.  I looked at their Web Sites and their blogs. 

I paid attention to where they were hanging out online and where they were – and more importantly HOW – they generating prospects, getting customers and enrolling business partners into their enterprises. 

For months, like a machine I absorbed what successful Internet Marketers were doing online. 

When they wrote a blog, I read it.
When they put out an e-book, I read it.

When they recommended a tool or a resource, I invested in it.

After about six weeks of following their lead and duplicating their tactics, I was starting to “get it.” 

I was even making money online while I slept.  And that was an amazing damn feeling! 

And then one day, it just hit me the way falling in love hits you.  It was crystal clear…I understood “the game” of both Network and Internet Marketing. 

Great things started to happen…

I had money coming in all the time.

I had people seeking me out asking for my advice.  I have even had people call me and simply say: “I will invest in whatever you tell me to.  Just show me the way.  I believe in you.”

I discovered “the game” was entirely different when the other person contacts you first.  I was perceived as a consultant and a serious problem solver instead of a peddling salesman.  I become the hunted instead of the hunter.

The persistence paid off and I began to believe in myself and in Network and Internet Marketing.  I knew that I can really help people and show them how they can really be set free in this industry.  Talking to people was fun and enjoyable because I was talking to people hungry to make money and people who were seeking me out. 

With this approach, it was rare that I talked to individuals with a “something for nothing” mindset. 

Throughout all my conversations, I got to know many great people.  Most of them had spent a lot of money on opportunities and came up very short. 

I always asked them what they felt it took to really make money from the comfort of their home.  Their answers were scattered all over, but one thing was obvious.  These people never learned to develop the mindset of an entrepreneur and they never learned how to market or what marketing really was. 
 

And from that my mission was born: To assist 10000 people make their first dollar online and to assist 100 people become totally free (of debt and fear).  To assist in the mission, I started blogging in June 2008 and have huge plans for my blog over the next 12-36 months.  You can learn more about me and my contributions there at http://www.forestmarie.com
