Ever since becoming involved in network marketing I have been thinking of how to navigate some of the industry's perils and maximize its enormous benefits.

Here are some facts about the network marketing industry to think about:

The problem with joining MLM companies is that you essentially become their distributor and are treated as such. You don't run your own business because you are tied to their compensation plan, and they own your greatest asset: the downline. At any time (have a close look at your contract), the company can cancel your marketer's agreement and take your downline away from you.

It's not that they set out to do that, but companies go soft all the time and this is their insurance to help THEIR bottom line, not yours.
