About Me
What do you get when you put architecture, psychology and advertising together? You get me.
After studying architecture, then psychology, who'd have guessed I'd spend most of my adult life as creative director in advertising agencies in Australia, Europe and the Americas?
As if that isn't odd enough, now here I am on Better Networker. What's the story?
Well, it goes like this. I have spent the last few years as a business mentor. Nowadays I use my brand-building and communications experience to teach clients how to think creatively, to innovate, to be inspiring leaders, to present memorably and to create customer loyalty.
One day last year, my lovely wife Sharon was introduced to an MLM opportunity that excited her. As we talked about the business and the people in it, I was shocked to learn that 90-97% (the percentage seems to vary from expert to expert) of network marketers fail. In any other business sector, that would be horrific. In the MLM world, people just seemed to accept it as fact.
As a business coach, I wanted to understand why the failure rate is so high. I decided the best way was to join Sharon in her MLM business. I accompanied her to training, to seminars, to motivation presentations. I subscribed to the blogs, emails, videos and audio courses offered by the recognised MLM leaders.
What have I learned? If people fail, it isn't for lack of product training, sales training or injections of motivation.
What I quickly realised was that people fail because they don't believe in themselves. They don't understand their personal brand value. They lack discipline and organisational skills. They don't know how to be effective and inspiring leaders. They don't know how to identify their target market and build empathy with their audience.
In short, people fail because they lack the very skills I needed to survive at the top of the advertising business. And really, the skills that all CEOs and marketing directors need to grow their brands and their businesses.
I made a decision. If I could teach network marketers the same skills I applied to grow the McDonald or Coca-Cola business, I should be able to ensure a lot more of them realise their dreams.
So that's why I'm here - to help people find their MLM mojo, to build their personal brand, to attract like-minded people to their business, to find unshakable self-confidence, to work more efficiently and ultimately to succeed.
If you'd like to chat, I'd love to hear from you.
