About Me

I live in North Wales and have done for 24 years. My husband is Cornish and I am Scottish so we have landed in the middle, always sticking with the Celts of course!

I am a handweaver. Someone gave me a small loom, I got a book out of the library, taught myselt to weave and discovered what it is I should have been doing all my life. I am a qualified medieval weaver and there are not too many of us around (surprise surprise!) I can reproduce cloth dating from the Viking period right up to the 19th Century

Operating on the principle that people will always eat I have started a handmade confectionery (candy) business.  I make old fashioned sweets which are available from my website.

It is my ambition to be able to retire without worrying about paying the bills (isn't it everyone's?) and to sit and weave to my heart's content!

Hello Ginny: Thanks for accepting my friends request on Better Networker. I admire you that you are able to reproduce clothing from the Viking period up to the 19th Century. Looking forward to chatting with you. Sincerely Lawrence Bergfeld

Hey there Ginny, good to see you on BN, and in the CTWT group as well. Have a good look around, there's some really good discussions going on in this place lol. I'll ask you on Skype or something, but curious to know where in Cornwall your hubby's from - I have a big connection on Mum's side to the Penzance area. Catch up with you soon Gaz
