About Me
After high school, enjoyed 3 years in US Navy on a Submarine. Then one year At Boeing in Seattle; (that was the year that I attended part time at the U of W studying philosophy, and waited for the sun to come up over the Lake Union Bridge at 6:AM every morning, after drinking most of the night)
It never came up.
So, I said to self, "I know the sun shines in San Diego, so off I went, in my 51 Chevy with all belongings in the car, a hand of bananas, jar of peanut butter, and 6 cents. That was a very interesting month long adventure, you'll have to get in touch for those details. (lol)
Then, a couple of years in San Diego, working for Scripps Institute of Oceanography and General Dynamics/Astronautics, living on the Beach, and watching those huge breakers come in and crash on the rocks.
Said to self: time to travel and see the world, so I packed suitcase, stuck up thumb, and headed East - Destination - Europe.
Made a brief stop in New Orleans to visit with sister Nina and her family; got a job with Offshore Navigation, and guess what, they told me: I would see the world with them. They were half right, I got to see the right half of the world - Australia, New Zealand, Papua/New Guinea, Nicaragua, Honduras, Columbia, Grand Cayman Island, Bahamas, Nova Scotia, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Sarawak, Saibai, and Malasia.
Then they brought me home and promoted me to my level of incompetence - Operations Manager, Domestic and Foreign. (lol) [from Peter Drucker's "The Peter Principle". After being miserable for two months in that position, I said to self - "Time to go back to school" Thus ensued 3 years at Tulane U studying Anthropology, Psychology, Art, Sculpture, and boo hiss: Statistics. Statistics and I just never got along, And I said to one of my friends, Mr Murray of Murray's Costumers (He created costumes for about 11 of the Mardi Gras Krewes) "You know, Mr Murray, I could always drive a Taxi"
Fast forward 33 years.
During that time, I became a realtor associate with Stan Weber and Associates, managed real estate, purchased and renovated a triplex, Created a company "NO NAME CREATIONS" - Jackson Pollock style of painting on sweatshirts, Sold Shaklee, Talked about 20 friends to jump out of a plane for the first time, Represented Ecoquest Intnl., and adopted a cat left behind by the previous tenant of my house.
Her name is Grey Kitty - yes she is grey, and yes I spell it with an e.
So, I am happy, and my next move will be to Nashville, where I can spend more time with my extended family there
