So, WHO Is This Heather Taskovics Person Anyway???

So you really, really , REALLY want to know? Weeeellllll...I'm a musician, singer, mom, daughter, sister, friend, spouse and partner; as well as an entrepreneur, internet marketer, mentor and Life Coach. My passion is helping people achieve their goals in life and becoming the best they are capable of being by sharing information I have *collected* through my own experiences and learning. We ALL have the ability to make our lives absolutely fantastic and wonderful. It's really all up to you. I'm just supplying information that can help you along the way.

I grew up in Westford, Massachusetts, which is about 35 miles north of Boston and spent my college years studying music. After college I did what a lot of people do: I got married...then divorced. During this time I bounced around from retail jobs, to working in a bank, to working at a horse farm (fun gig, but hardly paid anything).

I still kept with my music, but not in the *professional* sense. During the last ten years, I've been singing with a local rock band that does a few gigs a year and and have been performing and travelling with a local well-known fife and drum corps, which has been an absolutely fantastic experience. I've had the opportunity to travel to Europe and Canada, and perform with the Boston Pops and the Tanglewood Festival Orchestra, which included performances with a variety of well-known recording artists--all this while wearing a powdered wig and playing a small wooden instrument!

During the last few years, I ended up finding my true love (FINALLY!) and getting married (AGAIN!). Of course after we got married--and, seeing that my hubby has 10+years on me and I'M not getting any younger--we decided to become parents. At this point we just have one beautiful, amazing, entertaining, toddler daughter, for whom I would do just about anything.

Of course, going to school, getting married, getting divorced, getting married again AND having a baby--all this while being a free-spirited musician and (NOW) 18th century living history re-enactor (because I have nothing else going on in my life, right? RIGHT!)--really CAN take it's toll on the finances. And it did.

After my divorce from my first marriage, I was left with student loans and credit card debt--all of which totaled close to $20K (EEK!!!). Fortunately, I was able to go on a debt consolidation program to pay off the credit cards, but I still had the (albeit manageable) student loans to contend with.

So, moving forward to just a couple of years ago: I became a newlywed and was working a job as an executive admin with a high-tech company and making some decent coin; however, I still had my student loans, some MORE credit card debt AND a car loan. So, we decided to have a baby and I decided to QUIT MY JOB!!! Yep, I decided that it would have cost more than half my paycheck to pay for daycare, and I really wanted to stay home and be with our daughter--so we collectively decided I would be the stay at home mom (SAHM, for short).

Fortunately, my darling husband has a decent-paying job--and we are able to pay our bills on time--but after a year of being a SAHM, I decided that I wanted to bring in a second income to supplement my DH's (that's "Dear/Darling Hubby" in text speak).

I started working as an MLM (Multi-Level Marketer) with one very well-known health and wellness company, but the approach to getting people to join and purchase the products did not jive well with me. In fact, I felt like their methods were a bit old-fashioned (contacting friends and family, posting ads ALL OVER the Internet) and simply did not work for me.

So, I left that company, tried a (much lesser-known) health and wellness company for a couple of months, then moved on to ANOTHER health and wellness company, for which I am still a distributor to this day. I had joined the current company I'm with through a group of ladies on a social networking site for moms. We basically did what all the other work at home moms (WAHM, for short) and SAHMs were doing to promote their businesses: we saturated the social networking site with posts about our businesses--even on our homepages!

I knew I wanted to continue working with a company whose products I believed in and use, but I felt that there was more to marketing than what I was doing. There had to be a BETTER WAY!

So, I signed up for a $3000 home-study course that takes a year to complete. It's been a good course--and I still study with it--but what got me was how they focused so much on cold calling store-bought leads in the beginning of the program. I know that there are many marketers out there who don't mind spending hours calling people from a list--it just was not for me. I knew that my energies could be better spent going about marketing in a different way.

Several months ago, I stumbled upon a great group of extraordinary entrepreneurs, led by masterminds Jonathan Budd and Katie Freiling, who think a little differently and act a little differently than the majority population of network marketers out there.  I found myself signing up for courses to learn how to do what they have been doing--a much more progressive approach to marketing using Web 2.0.  It was while learning all there is to know about social media marketing and applying that knowledge to my own business that I realized that I had finally found my true calling in life--as an entrepreneur, mentor and life coach.

My wish for you is that you are able to use the information I am sharing and apply it to your life in order to achieve TRUE HAPPINESS, SUCCESS AND GREATNESS in all that you do--from learning how to promote your business to how to bring peace and harmony to your life.
