About Me
I was born into a small family in Lynden, WA. At the age of 8, I began work before and after school every day and all day Saturday and chores on Sunday. 4 years at .25/hr. At age 12, I moved out of my parents home to a farm owned by my mothers Uncle and Aunt. I lived and worked there for 4 years doing all the stuff you do on a dairy farm. I usually saw my family on Thursday nights and at church on Sunday. At the age of 16, I moved back home with my family.
Married at the age of 19, employed in the wholesale electrical industry, started flying, quit wholesale electrical, persued all my flight ratings, went to Clover Park Voc. Tech. Institute to get my mechanics license for aircraft, 2 boys and moved to Nigeria West Africa as a missionary pilot for 5 years. Had 2 girls while in Africa. Being in Nigeria absolutely changed my life and how I looked at life.
Came back from Nigeria in 1986, got a job as an airline pilot, moved a lot, divorced. A real low point in life, but you know, when you are down, all you can do is go up. Re-married, now 2 step sons to add. I feel absolutely blessed where I am in life and what I have experienced. There were many trials with the kids, going through a divorce, but today, they are well, all of them. Not perfect, but we all have relationship which is one of the most important things to me, I think because of my love for children and also the fact that I lived alone so much of my childhood.
My wife has blessed me in so many ways. Truly, her strengths are my weeknesses. She, as well as a lot of reading great authors has brought me back on top and for this I am so thankful and feel blessed.
I'm the type of guy that likes to give more than 100%. Corporate america has let many of us down. They require more and they take more and you know the motto, the beatings will continue unlit morale improves. I have never wanted to be somewhere working and complain. So, it's time to move on and I have found one of the most unique and exciting opportunities with a functional health beverage that has history, recorded back to the 1300's, results, tastes really good, changed health or improved health I should say for so many, a best in the industry pay plan ie. you work, you get paid, not the traditional pyramid scheme so many have. It's truly a plus plus for everyone you share it with, health and wealth.
So, I have set my goals, ones that I can reach. Along the way, I want to take as many loved ones as I can along the journey. I'd like to paraphrase my Uncle in a speach he gave. His question was, "how do you live your dash?" Take a minute to think about that. Ok, I'll explain. Many go visit your grave stone at the end of this great gig we are in here on earth. They will see something nice written about you and then there is always this, 1955 - 20??. A year born and a year died. It's that dash inbetween. How many will know about that dash? That small little dash between two dates represents you. Will people know what that dash means or not. It's up to you and it's up to me. The more people who's lives you have touched the more will not only know your dash, but will make theirs more meaningful also.
