What is a J-O-B?  It's being Just Over Broke.  People are losing thier jobs every day - no traditional job is secure any longer.  I'd worked at a city job, in Public Services, for 12 years.  Basically, I listened to people complain all day.  Then, about 3 years ago I busted a move and accepted another position with a private corporation. I feel more secure about my job, but I work too many hours.  I know there are more ways of earning income than the traditional j-o-b!  I know that I could lose this job at any time, so I've decided to try a different path. 

I joined a community and lost 50+ pounds using thier programs & products and about a year ago I decided to take on a home business opportunity with the company, where I could help others lose weight and make money.  I made a dumb move and got all excited and joined with a woman that befriended me on MySpace.  Well, she has since dumped the business, along with me.   I didn't do anything serious with my business until about 6 months ago.

So, that is why I'm here.  With my j-o-b (and all the over time), I just don't have time to do the parties, webinars, meetings and all the things my company says I "should" do to grow my business.  What I have tried so far isn't working.  I'm here and plugging into training through Mike Dillard to teach me how to market my business on line.  Honestly, I didn't even know what a domain name was!!!  Ok, you can stop laughing!  I'm serious.  I knew absolutely nothing about how the "information highway" works.  I knew how to shop, e-mail and send pictures.  I've learned so much in a short amount of time!  It's helped but it can certainly be overwhelming!  And with working so much, I can't work on my business as much as I'd like to.  It may take me a bit longer, but I will not give up.

Times have changed and I need to learn to change with the times.  I know BN will help me do just that.  In the short time I've been with the BN community I feel I've shifted from a "newbie" to a Smart Beginner.  I'm much more confident, feel I have value to give to others from what I've learned and am heading in the right direction.
