About Me

MY BEGINNING

I was the third of five children in our family born on July 31 1950 in a Hamilton, Ohio hospital. My first memory at three years of age is being in the back seat of our car with my mother driving. The very next thing I remember is that my sister and I were both on the floor with our legs under the drivers seat and our car was in a ditch. My grandfather was at the window calling to us telling us to come to him. My sister and I both told him we couldn't because our legs were broken. Mind you at this point I really don't remember any pain just the knowledge of having a broken leg. Then I guess I passed out again because the next thing I remember is being in a hospital bed with my left leg strung up in the air. My left thigh bone had been broken and a pin had to be put through my ankle and hung up in the air so it would heal properly. My sister got off easier, she had a shin break and was able to get a cast on her leg and go home.  My spirit never took a back seat though and I gave the nurses hell. One time they found me with my head at the foot of the bed because I wanted my head elevated and the crank was at the foot of the bed. I cranked it up and as soon as I started wriggling back to the head of the bed the nurse came in and and gave a big gasp and exclaimed "You can't do that, you need your head flat so your leg will heal properly". She promptly cranked the head back down. That was my first experience with a hospital. Wow, what a start to life huh.

A FEW YEARS DOWN THE ROAD

My dad was a "Job Shopper" we moved a lot within each state we moved to. We went from Ohio to Illinois then Colorado & Texas. Some time in Colorado my parents divorced. Then my mother, my two younger sisters and I moved to the Rockies with my step dad. My brother went with my dad and my older sister was in a home for wayward children. The mountain ranch was fantastic, 300 acres all to ourselves to run around on. We had a four room cabin with a wood burning stove in the living room and a wood burning kitchen stove in the kitchen. Running water was going DOWN the hill with empty buckets and filling them up from the pump and toting full buckets of water back UP the hill. Our heat was cutting down dead trees, cutting them into chunks with a two man saw and chopping those into chunks for the stoves. Yes, my sisters and I were taught to do this by our step dad and these were our daily chores. By the time I was 15 I was stronger that a lot of boys in my school. That was a fun and frustrating part of my life because we didn't own the land, we were the caretakers and very poor. Our rent was $25.00 per month but we didn't have to pay it since my brother came back to us and it was up to him my sisters and me to do the fence mending of not only our 300 acres but 700 acres across the road, all of which was part of the same ranch. Fun because of where we were and so much more that would be too much for this Bio.

LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE

When we moved to the 300 acre ranch I was 12 years old. We had only been there for a short time when on an Easter Sunday my sisters and I were walking along the fence line at the two lane main road when I spotted a dog that I wanted to go pet. I went down the embankment and crossed the road to the dog but when I got to the other side of the road a car came around a blind corner from the opposite direction on MY side of the road and hit me head on. My sisters told me that I was thrown like a rag doll. My mother told me it was 225 feet. The guy was going 60 miles an hour in a 35 mph speed zone and yes, he was drunk. Remember, this was on EASTER SUNDAY. God had other plans for me so a week later I regained consciousness in a Denver hospital. Before I woke up I recall being above my bed looking down and seeing all the other beds in a row and a nurse at one end. No I did not die. I was just exterior to my body and looking at everyone else and I WAS HAPPY. In fact I was GIDDY. The next thing I remember I was on a cold xray table, moaning because it was so darn cold. The technician ask me how I was and I told him my legs hurt. That's when they FINALLY found out my pelvis was broken in 3 places. Long story short, I was in the hospital for another week so they could put my body into a body cast from the tops of my knees to my chest. After that I was at home in bed for 7 weeks. That's when I really learned how to read and thanked my lucky stars and of course, GOD.

NOW WHAT?

I became a more spiritually aware person but NOT a reborn Christian since I had already been raised as a Nazarene and had been accepted in Jesus' arms long before this incident. I've always been a helper of others and after this incident I became more aware of it. Always, if anyone needed my help I gave it freely without expecting anything in return. Some people have taken advantage of that and some not  in a good way. Anyway I'm an Optimist and still see that people in general are good and I will continue to help who I can however I can. Even as I grew up in a poor family through the years I have been able to improve my lot in life. But I'm not done yet I still have big dreams for myself, family and friends.

WHERE I AM TODAY

After leaving Colorado I went to Texas, finished High School and got married young and had two beautiful children. During that time I worked as a "Kelly Girl", temp jobs. I landed a job at a bank that was changing their computer system. That was my introduction to computers. I was out of my league but I learned fast and before I knew it I was training all the employees how to do the changes. I did that for a year. Unfortunately I didn't keep up my own education on computers because I still couldn't afford them nor thought I would need it. That was early 70's. Well, you know the saying, "if I had it to do all over again....". Well, I'm not crying over spilt milk.

During my life in Texas I tried doing Mary Kay, Tupperware and a couple other MLM companies because I liked the idea of residual income. I also started modeling and acting. That was a lot of fun but very hard work. I wanted to pursue the acting so I went to California. Unfortunately I ended up getting a divorce and being separated from my children. However I decided that if I was going to continue acting it was best if the children were with their father and not be shuffled around. My mistake, their step mom was the epitome of a STEP MOM.  My children are ok today with families of their own.

I got remarried and continued acting and joined several more MLM companies and failed. During this time I was introduced to home computers. I didn't have any formal training so struggled many years teaching myself the computer then the internet came into being and I was really confused. I didn't know how to incorporate the internet with MLM until recently so I struggled even more. All in all what I do know I'm self taught, not only the computer but life itself.

MY DREAM

I'm no longer acting but I am still working in the film industry on a part time basis as a Studio Driver and of course MLM. Yes, I am a teamster in the Hollywood local 399 and I have a commercial license. The film industry has changed a lot in the last 10 years and it's going to pot in Hollywood so I have switched gears yet again and am learning "Internet Marketing". I learned how to market myself with my acting but now I have a chance to learn "Internet Marketing" from the Best. This gives me the chance to retire very comfortably long before my retirement age. My husband is already retired and we look forward to me being able to join him because we both want to travel like we've never traveled before. Ahhh, to be able to do what I want when I want, where I want and to live anywhere I choose and to help as many people achieve the same. That's my dream.
