My Network Marketing career began about three years ago, though at the time I had no idea what a MLM or a SEO was. Maybe you’re like me and you’re looking for the same thing I was: a way to work from the comfort of your own home, make what you are really worth, live the life you’ve always wanted, and have a lot of fun along the way. Three years ago all I knew was that I had finally, after many years of searching, found what I was looking for. Let me explain….

I started a traditional “job hunt” back in 1989, right after I graduated from Rainier High in Oregon. (I know that lets my age out of the bag, but it shows just how long my journey to network marketing has been.) I already had some summer job history: picking strawberries, doing office work at the high school, and bussing tables at the restaurant where my mom worked. Little did I know that the rest of my traditional work history would be just that - short stints of work and long periods of unemployment.

Even before I graduated from high school, my life had started to fall apart but I wasn’t sure why. When I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at the age of 19, at least I had a name for my roller coaster of emotions that made it so difficult for me to maintain consistency. I was in and out of therapy trying many different medication “cocktails” only to find out they weren’t the right ones for me. Learning how to live and work with bipolar disorder has taken me on an extreme learning adventure.

I worked at Boise Cascade for about 4 months. I was a caregiver for a few months. I even went back to school because I thought I had figured out “what I wanted to do with my life.” At one point I was sure I had found my dream job. I love animals so working in a veterinary hospital should have been perfect for me, right? This job did last longer than any of the others, but once again my mood became so unstable I had no choice but to leave.

I was devastated. What now if I can’t even make it at my dream job? There had to be something for me. I have a lot of skills to offer. I am a smart person who is very capable and friendly. I decided the only way to have the flexibility I needed to thrive was to be my own boss. I started a pet sitting business. I made custom beaded bracelets. I knit felted bags. I knew nothing about how to run a home business. Do you know how hard it is to make a living at selling crafts? I wanted to be able to live my dreams, have a nice house and car, enough money to help my family and friends, and help the animals in a BIG way! I couldn’t make enough necklaces to accomplish all of that and I knew it. There had to be something out there.

This is where my Network Marketing career really began! I was like you are now, searching the internet for ways to build a business from home. Who knew network marketing, MLM, social marketing, whatever you want to call it, would be where I would finally fit in? I love it! I now have the freedom to work when I feel like it, not on someone else’s schedule, and there is no limit to what I can earn. One by one my dreams are becoming reality and so can yours.

Three years ago I saw the BIG picture of how Network Marketing could change my life. Did you know that there have been more millionaires created in this industry than in any other? That is why I made a commitment to myself to do whatever it would take to make it happen. Since then I have learned a lot about network marketing, internet marketing, and attraction marketing. It’s time to share this wealth of knowledge with you so you can begin to achieve your dreams.

My goal is teach you all that I have learned so you don’t waste hundreds or even thousands of dollars as I have while building a successful business. The key to success in this industry is to never ever quit. It all starts with a vision. A powerful vision of how this industry can change your life. You didn’t learn how to speak in a day or even a year but you can speak now right? You might even speak more than one language. It takes time to learn something new and in the end it is well worth it. Imagine how your life would be if you gave up before you could speak. Now imagine how your life will be if you quit before you learn how to build your business. Knowledge is power. Take the time to learn the skills that are required so you can live your dreams.
