About Me

I'm an actor, improv instructor, executive coach, and baseball player from Chicago, IL.  I believe "living" means being in the moment and pursuing your passions.  I've never been one to take the conventional path, yet I was never drawn to network marketing.  I thought it was a scam, a way for corporations to take advantage of gullible people.

Then one day a guy on my baseball team took out a tiny, plastic cassette from his pocket, opened it, and said, "want an energy or electrolyte strip?"  I pulled a thin orange strip from the cassette, put it under my tongue, and thought they were the coolest things on earth.  I had one of my best games of the season so I decided I would go to the store and load up so I could take some before every game!  That's when he informed me that I'd have to get them from his wife's website (boo!). . . or I could get my own website and people could order from me, plus I could get the products at wholesale (woohoo!).  That was my introduction to the world of network marketing.

I signed up but I was still skeptical.  I was convinced that the company was out to take advantage of me.  I tested the waters by sending questions to the corporate office to see how or if they would respond.  To my surprise, one of the corporate leaders responded within minutes from his iphone . . . and it was 6am on a Saturday morning!  I gingerly started working the business.  I signed up a couple distributors and received my first commission checks, hmmm not bad for a couple weeks of work.  About a month later, I attended the company conference where I got to meet the people I was so sure were out to get me.  Boy did I feel bad! These monsters were some of the most genuine, authentic, helpful people I've ever met!  We had several conversations that weekend which really started to transform my perceptions of network marketing.

About a month later, I received a call from one of the corporate leaders I met at the conference.  He informed me that they selected a small group of distributors who they felt had the strongest potential to be leaders in the company.  They are bringing in two elite-level executive coaches to lead about 30 of us in an intense 90-day boot camp program.  It's a huge commitment which should produce staggering results.  This company that I was so sure was out to get me, will be covering the entire cost of the training program.  Instead of taking my money, they're investing their own money in me.

To say I was wrong about network marketing would be an understatement.  I'm a believer.  Network marketing is changing my life just as it has for so many others on this site.
