Jim Morse

I am a retired Fire Department Lieutenant from Rescue One, a former EMT-A and CPR instructor, father of three and grandfather of eight.  For the last two years I have been a Real Estate Realtor and prior to that I was a Personal Trainer at my local gym.  I could live anywhere in the world and I choose to live in Medford MA in the house that I grew up.  

We just enjoyed the leaf change and we are preparing for the snow.  In the spring the greenery comes back and then the summer comes and we are so close to the beaches and lobster of Maine, the mountains of NH, the sawmills of VT, the mansions of Newport RI and the casinos of Connecticut.

When I retired in 1986, I bought an Apple IIc and went online with a local Bulletin Board Service (BBS).  I founded my first corporation in September that year called Audio-Visual-Computers, Inc., (AVC) and for the next five years I spent 60 to 80 hours a week online.  We were called "pioneers," but I thought of us as guinea pigs.  Starting out at 1200 baud, I was thrilled to pay $500 for a 2400 baud modem.  I went through about seven pc's from a 286/20 with Windows 3.1 (32 floppy disks) to a Pentium with XP, before I went back to Apple about five years ago.  I love and highly recommend my MacBook Pro.

We were called "Information Providers," and today we would be called Webmasters.  This was five years before the Web was invented and we were writing our sections in Basic.  In 1987, I became an officer in a company that was trying to digitally download music. At the time, the only format that could handle the data was Digital Audio Tape (DAT) and it never caught on.  We envisioned cable being used for online connections but that was years away.  

In 2004, I met John Fanning, one of the founders of Napster, and we shared many a laugh about those early days and he thought he may have done some business with AVC.  I still have a website through Network Solutions and I take photo's and video's and give them for free to the local news sources.  Recently, I caught some smoking manholes from an underground explosion one block from my home.  

I spent the year 2004 on the World Poker Tour and won a $10,000 seat in the finals.  On day one, I spent ten hours opposite Eric Lindgren and with Dan Harrington to my right.  Harrington was the dealer when I was the big blind and he raised me all day.  I finally called him all in with AA66 and he caught a three-outer 7 to eliminate me.  It was real exciting and I told them all that as I left.  Eric went on to win Player of the Year and Dan wrote three of the best poker books I have ever read.  You can see my record in Card Player by searching for James Morse.

Still reading?  As far as Network Marketing goes, I am an up and coming newbie.  I signed up for the very first time in August of this year, made Gold Director in September and so far it has been one of the most exciting projects I have ever been involved in.  Every day we have new challenges and decisions to make.  I really like it here at bn.com and I am always ready to listen to advice.
