Joel Campbell

Hey everyone,

Not sure exactly how I'm supposed to write this "bio". Is it supposed to be in 3rd person like "Joel Campbell is so great...he is the bomb at this and that...bla bla bla!" or am I supposed to just tell you a bit about myself ?  I'm just going to write a little about who I am and what I'm all about because that just seems to suit this site alot more.  Mike D is always telling us that people want to know more about what we really are rather than trying to be someone who we think everyone wants us to be. So here it goes...

Before I got into internet marketing I was in an entirely different line of work.  If you can believe this I was a grain farmer for 14 years and never had any other jobs my entire life.  A couple years ago a random stranger rolled down our lane with the intent to buy our whole farm... all 7500 acres, all the houses, sheds, bins and the rest of the infustructure.  The funny part was we didn't have our property listed and had no intention on selling it, that was until he told us how much money he wanted to pay us!  Turns out he had sold a bunch of land to the city of Calgary at 100,000 per acre!  He had no choice other than to sell to the city but he desperately wanted to keep on farming and decided to come on over to Saskatchewan and start looking for some new turf.  He checked out many maps and learned the Pense area where our farm was located had the best soil in all of the prairie provinces and also the most vast uninhibited tracks of land.  So he decided to fly into Regina and head out to our area to start looking around.  In his travels of the area he was told numerour times that we had one of the biggest farm yards and best managed land in the entire rural municipality.  This is what brought him straight to our farm and how we got such an exagerated price for the "whole package". 

When this all happened we told him we would have to think about it and called a family meeting for that night where we would deliberate over the positives and negatives of taking this once in a lifetime offer.  My dad had been thinking about retiring already so it came down to whether I wanted to take over the operation and give up alot of the freedoms that I was used to.  I decided that it was time to do something different with my life and was looking foward to this new change.  I took my windfall and relocated to a beautiful 29 acre spot on the intersection of three different valleys with my family (my wife, two kids, three dogs, cat and hordes of aquarium fish :-)  Here I built an amazing propagation greenhouse and started an online edible plant nursery.  This was like a dream come true because ever since I had graduated from the U of Saskatchewan with a major in horticulture I had wanted to start my own greenhouse business.  There was one problem though...I was not making enough flow during the spring, summer and fall to last the winter. If you didn't know, Saskatchewan could be also called Saska-beria during our winter as we get months of minus 30 celcius and the greenhouse is shut down. Your probably wondering why I'm telling you all this but this is the point where internet marketing came in.

This was a couple winters ago now when I decided that the internet was going to be my salvation during the winter months.  I researched the many thousands of "biz opps" out there having no clue what IM even was.  The one thing I did know alot about was computers and how technology and the internet all functions.  This was the basis for my almost overnight success in my intro to the IM scene paired with the luck I had getting signed up with a really good sponsor and trainer.  He showed me how I could use all these techlological advancments to build my business online and make the kind of money I needed to support my family.  One of the first things he told me I should do is go out and get Mike Dillards traffic formula course.  I thought about it for a few days and decided that I was going to go for it with gusto.  I purchased the course and got cracking, I was reading though the materials and listening to the audio CDs while driving around country roads in my truck.  I followed all the tactics to almost a T, just a few alterations to suit my style were needed :-)  In my second month on the scene I did over 18K in only three weeks! I couldn't believe that this was actuall possible letalone happening to a regular old farm boy that came out of the wood work.

I discovered that I had a nack for all this stuff... I think it was because I just loved messing around with all the programs and "techie" stuff.  Another thing I discovered alot of people were having some major struggles getting the hang of these processes and needed some help.  That is when I decided it was time to start teaching others how they could start leaveraging techlonology to built there businesses online.  This conincided with the development of a new system by my original sponsor...some of you may know him - Norbert Orlewicz.  We were both down in Marco Island, Florida at a marketing event and were sitting around at lunch one day talking about replication on our teams.  Everyone sitting around the table agreed that was the biggest hurdle to getting a team built and seeing good results.  Norbert and Brian Fanale then told me about a marketing system they had put together that was designed to help teach people these concepts and how to implement them to any business.  It was a ureeka moment, I had been thinking day and night about how I could help the people on my team get the kind of results I was getting and this sounded like exactly what I was looking for.

As soon as I got home to Canada I signed up with the system for the trial to see if it was in fact what I was looking for.  It turned out that it was even better than I thought... it had all the marketing training that anyone new or seasoned needed to learn to be successful and to top it off had all the technical bells and whistles that even the most technical marketers would find amazing compared to anything else out there.  I decided to switch gears from my original company and started primarily marketing this system so I could actually have a way to help other internet marketers and give them the same tools that I had used to get success with my business.

Since implementing the gurubrandingsystem I have helped many people learn the ropes and get results that they have never seen before.  I have many on my team now that had never made a single check in years of  IM finally getting weekly checks and they are amazed because they were starting to believe that it wasn't going to be possible for them.
