About Me
I got into network marketing while unemployed. After 24 years in the workforce, I had nothing to show for it. I had no job security, I had been laid-off for lack of work, down-sizing or companies going out of business. I have had to work at temporary assignments through staffing services for the last 10 years as a wage slave, or work part-time because a lot of companies don't want to hire for full-time because they'd have to pay for employees' medical benefits. These big companies and corporations see workers as numbers that are expendable. This is who's been in control of my future, a future of unemployment, a mountain of debt, no health insurance and no way to save for retirement.
Something had to change.
While collecting unemployment and surfing the internet for jobs, I kept running into 'work from home' type jobs. Most of them seemed too good to be true. The majority of them were. Then I found one. It was a major company that needed distributors for their health and wellness products. I would be an independent contractor. I was used to that from all my years of temporary assignments as a contract employee. But, with this, I could work my own schedule. Be my own boss. So, I signed up and got started.
I quickly learned that it wasn’t quite as easy as they made it sound. I tried to follow my sponsor’s advice, but did not make one sale or find a single person interested in joining my team. I was clueless as to how this all worked. I took a lot of advice from a lot of people who claimed they had “the key” to network marketing success. But after spending more money than I could afford, and countless hours, I still had nothing to show for it.
I realized that even though the company I was with was legitimate and reputable, their recruiting methods and payment structure were not for me. So, I set out on my own to find a better way to make a living from home.
Since then, I have received a lot of advice, guidance, training and mentoring from industry leaders. I've come across some good opportunities while looking for ways to market products on the internet. There are some sites that I use frequently. As well as, some home business opportunities that I’ve gotten involved with that are legitimate and profitable. I have been working from home full-time since October of 2008 and have replaced, and surpassed, my full-time J-O-B income.
I started J.C.L. Marketing Resources after deciding to switch gears and focus less on my own personal gain and more on helping other people attain there goals. I realized that by helping others, I am also helping myself to build better business relationships, therefore a better business.
From J.C.L. Marketing Resources came Budget Entrepreneurialism. It was my desire to help people who are, like I was, struggling to build there business with a very small budget. Budget Entrepreneurialism is a way for me to provide some of the free and low-cost methods that I have found to be the most effective and to also share my discoveries and contacts with people who are struggling to market their products, services or business opportunities on the internet. B.E. has now replaced J.C.L. as my guide to inexpensive marketing resources.
J.C.L. Marketing Resources still exists as the parent company with several targeted sites catering to different aspects of network and internet marketing. It’s main function now, however, will be as a resource for traditional brick and mortar businesses to market their products and services by effectively utilizing the internet.
