Interests

Interests:
Sports - Playing Basketball and watching most sports. I also love water sports and extreme sports. I'm a very solid snowboarder and pretty decent rock climber. I love SCUBA and sky diving and martial arts. I used to teach at a Kung Fu/Tai Chi school. Internet Marketing - I'm a fan of SEO and small niches, though I've played in some of the bigger arenas as well. Some of my favorites include relationship repair related, fitness related, tech & appliance related, and I have made a quite a bit in the web hosting niche. Music - I love playing guitar, bass, drums, singing, listening to music. Video games - When I used to have more time I played First Person Shooters online competitively (at a high amateur level) though the past couple of years my online play has been pretty scarce because I've been spending more time with my family and working online to cover my mother-in-law's 10 grand a month health care and house remodeling costs, etc. etc. etc. Things are expensive here in Tokyo! I also enjoy playing sports games on my consoles with buddies when I have time.

Activities:
See above.... I like going to rock concerts, forgot to mention that. And I play basketball a couple of times a week now. And we play in some tournaments and leagues when we have time and can get enough guys together on the right days. Sometimes it's kind of rag tag though.

About Me

I'm an Internet Professional.  I founded an International Technology and Business Consulting Firm based here in Tokyo, though we provide services to clients on a Global Scale.  I also own and operate several profitable websites, and am part of a Network Marketing Opportunity, though that is the last area of my business life to develop.  I've recently been increasing the income I generate online and have been stepping back client-by-client in what I manage with my consultancy to have more time to spend developing my Internet Businesses and Network Marketing Business, which has been a profitable hobby for me but now I'm handling it as more work instead of a hobby!

I'm also an avid coder and programmer, with a background doing security work on data collections and signals interception systems for the U.S. Military, Government Agencies, and Private Contracting Companies.  Having got out of that, I went into coding for web development, a large part of my consulting involves developing web-based systems to help streamline business processes, etc.  And as a hobby and side business I have been doing private web development and design, standards based javascript and server side programming, etc.  which is what took me into Internet Marketing and SEO work in the first place.

I'm American, but grew up in Tokyo, Japan and live there currently with my wonderful wife and daughter who is 3 years old.  I enjoy sports, I play basketball any and every chance I get (which isn't very often here in Japan for lack of quality courts and competition!) and I love "extreme" sports like skydiving, rock climbing, snowboarding and such.  Music is another passion of mine, I've been in several bands playing guitar, bass, and performing as a vocalist going all the way back to my early high school days.

Oh yeah, and I'm also a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Specialist.

Hi JonMarc, Wow, sounds like you are doing really well :) How's Tokyo treating ya? They feeling the economic meltdown that's plaguing the US? Thanks for adding value to BN, rock 'n roll! Raymond Fong

Thanks! Could definitely take some tips from you in this industry! Tokyo's great, highly recommended!
JonMarc, I am relieved you didn't suffer more than just some minor rib damage. 65mph collisions usually do way more damage! The good Lord was smiling on you that day! Janet

Thank you for your concern! I feel great now after a week, except for a fractured rib!
