My name is Kathy McNamara, and I am the creator of Agewellskin.wordpress.com.  I am a full time network marketer dedicated to sharing the successful strategies and systems to help you grow your own network marketing business. If you are looking for guidance, I’m happy to help you.

Everyone needs a mastermind alliance or strong support group, and I believe that was one of the missing ingredients for me.  I have found that strong support group with success-minded entrepreneurs in BetterNetworker.com.  I’ve had some amazing success on BetterNetworker, and I want to share some of the strategies I’ve implemented.  But before I do, here’s a little about myself.  I’m a home-based business owner, working as an Independent Consultant with Rodan + Fields Dermatologists and a Real Estate Consultant with Keller Williams Realty Partners in Overland Park, KS.

If you’re anything like me, you’ve learned that Corporate America can be disappointing and unpredictable. That’s why I’m now passionate about telling others to regain control of their own financial future and become financially independent while working from home.  I just want to  give HOPE to those talented entrepreneurs who realize that corporate America is NOT the way to go.

I went to college in Kansas City and got a MBA in Marketing.  I landed a great job with Yellow Freight System and started climbing the corporate ladder.  During the following 15 years, I spent most of my time in Corporate America as a marketing specialist at one of the largest transportation companies in the United States.  Then a huge paradigm shift occurred, the Global Economy shifted, and I became one of the casualties of “right-sizing.”  Talk about a slap in the face. After 15 years of hard work and dedication, I was laid off with hardly any notice.  Wow –  so much for company loyalty.

Being a Fortune 500 company, Yellow Transportation did give me a tidy little severance package and a small retirement.  It helped but my spirit was severely wounded.  I honestly thought I’d work at Yellow Freight up through retirement.  I was raised to believe that the only way to really be successful was to get a college education and go to work for a good company.  I had done that.

My transition from a corporate environment to a home-based business environment has not been without some bumps. I knew I NEVER wanted to return to the corporate world, and I loved my new freedom.  I could no longer stomach the corporate politics but I knew I would have to do something to replace my corporate salary.

After Yellow Freight,  in 2002 I decided to get my Real Estate license and sell residential homes in the Kansas City metro area.  I signed on with Keller Williams Realty Partners and began my real estate career.  I did very well and earned the “2002 Rookie of the Year” award, outselling all of the other new agents in the company.  I turned to the Internet, determined to promote my Real Estate Business and to learn Internet Marketing.

In addition to my real estate career and for supplemental income opportunities, I began my second home-based business in 2009.  I partner with the world-renowned dermatologists who created ProActiv Solution.  Both businesses rely heavily on the Internet, and I learned the importance of targeted marketing.  Whether it’s real estate or dermatological skin care, it is vitally important that no matter WHAT your product or service is, YOUR GOAL must be to become a master marketer.

And, I’m here to tell you that it takes time, dedication and money.  If you think otherwise, you should keep your corporate job.  I have personally spent time and money on marketing training and am now considered a WEB marketing specialist.  But I STILL continually take training because the Internet is constantly changing.  If you stop learning, you get left in the dust.

Was it worth it?  ABSOLUTELY.  I now have the assurance that no matter WHAT the economy does, I’ll still be secure because I know how to market my businesses.  So if you’re reading this and thinking YOU want to LAY OFF your corporate job, feel free to visit my blog at agewellskin.wordpress.com.  This is my communications hub where I regularly post some of my secret marketing tips that have helped me become financially free as an online marketer.

For all of you MLM’ers and Network Marketers, can MLM and Network Marketing work?  Yes, I believe that it can.  But ONLY if you have the right personality AND you are willing to establish yourself as a leader.  You’ll have to talk to people.
