Network Marketing: A Journey To Freedom, Integrity, And Personal Transformation

Ah and what a journey it’s been. Before I get into more of the details of my network marketing journey let me give a little background on the foundation that started it all. There are a lot of major events in any ones life that will change the course of their destiny and I will be sharing mine candidly here to bring you not only information, but hope and empowerment. One of those such events happened growing up with divorced parents. Honestly I can’t remember a time when they weren’t divorced as I was very young. However between visits I become more and more conscious of a division between lifestyles. My father has always touted the “go to school, get a good job” mentality. He, to this day, still works a job as a manager and that’s right…HATES IT! What a shocker! However regardless of his condition and current level of happiness he has stuck to his guns. On the other hand my mother was entrepreneurial in spirit. Me and my older brother would come and visit her in a sewing and tailor shop she owned. This was the beginning of a dream, the desire for ownership, responsibility, and opportunity.

Before I go onto the second major event, let me ask you a question. Think back to all the major events that changed your life, now how many of them were created by you? For me, NONE! I have found that in my experience in helping other that this almost always the case. Just a nugget that will hopefully spark you into being thankful to others for simply being in your life. This will make more sense as I go on.

The second thing that changed my life dramatically was I was introduced to self empowerment at a young age. I started taking care of my self already, exercising with some weights around the house but when I was about 15 I was invited to something called “the landmark forum”. If you haven’t heard of it, it is basically a course on the intricacies of being a human being. There I learned a lot that would impact me more later than right there on the spot. Like any personal problem of perception, it is a matter of ever growing awareness of “the problem”. I used quotes for a reason, I have learned over the years that there really are no problems, there are only situations. Did you know that in Chinese the word ‘problem’ also means ‘opportunity‘. hmm…

The third and main event is, yes you guessed it, I was introduced to network marketing. Now I had already been immersed in material by Robert Kiyosaki and Donald Trump searching far and wide for a way out of the infamous “rat race”. When I saw the potential of network marketing I was very excited. My personality type is always prone to examination, to discovering how things work, what makes something effective and efficient, etc… So I dug deeper into network marketing and was even more excited as I went on. My hand though was forced in a sense by my fathers, umm, lets call it desire for prescriptions that were “less than pharmaceutical”. I moved out and actually got a job after I joined my network marketing company. Funny.

Well it doesn’t take long for getting up at 5 in the mourning for 7 dollars an hour to got old VERY fast, surprise! After four years of struggling with “doing the numbers”, talking to my “buddies”, and over all chasing people, I was frustrated. I knew in my mind that there had to be a better way to do this. I mean I was in an internet business and not using the internet! I was a network marketer and I knew nothing about marketing!

I certainly place no blame at all on anyone in that company. The methods they are using work if you do the numbers BUT there is a better way! After searching countless hours, testing, tweaking, and experimenting I gradually came across leaders in this industry that we’re leveraging the internet. I understood that ultimately the numbers had to be done but I could only talk to so many people a day. I had to use a system that would filter out the whiners and bring me the winners. See I didn’t like cold calling not because I didn’t like to people but because I wanted to talk to the winners only.

I experimented with several systems before I was satisfied. Although there are a lot of good systems out there a great one, for me, would need, customization, control over MY list, and the ability to use funded proposals. In case you didn’t know a funded proposal is the key to profiting regardless of if someone joins your business. Keep yours eyes peeled for an article on this from me. Today I put a lot of focus on helping as many people as I can make the transition from old school to new school marketing, from working hard to working smart leveraging the power of the internet. If you have yet to make this transition and are ready to put your business growth into overdrive for 2009 then now is the time to get access to your MLM solution. Inside you’ll find a step by step walkthrough to the exact methods I use today. I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can and hopefully my experience and insight will forward you and your business.
