About Me
Kenneth Tang has been online since 1998 when he got on as a wet-behind-the-ears, don't-know-how-to-get-to-Yahoo, clueless-about-email, hopeless-with-a-browser newbie. Since then, he hasn't changed much, says his beautiful angel of a wife. "He's still clueless!", said Mrs. Tang.
The biography could end here and it would be a fairly accurate description. But let's humor the man. Let's let him have his day in the sun and say some nice things about him.
"Uhm...er...ahem. Ah yes...
Kenneth owns and runs an offline gifts business with a main store and four mini-outlets. The rental of the mini-outlets are hugely more than the rental for his main store, which sees Kenneth going through the roof everytime he has to sign the rental cheques.
"This is riduculous, preposterous, daylight robbery!" he shouts everytime. "I won't pay it!" And then he pays it - grudgingly.
Online, he moderates at the incredibly popular Internet Marketing Warriors forum which he has been a member of for the past nine years. The Internet Marketing Warriors forum has been one of the most successful online marketing forums ever where lots of things get talked about, lots of deals get made and lots of egos get bashed. How they could have allowed a bloke like Kenneth to become a member is beyond us. Let alone let him moderate. Perhaps it was a moment of weakness. Be that as it may, the die is cast and they can't get rid of him now.
Kenneth runs a few niche sites (pssst, under pen names, last we heard, but you didn't hear that from us) which he has so far refused to disclose even to us. But we think he's just bluffing. There are no such sites, we believe.
The bloke also fancies himself a writer. Says he likes to write. But what he doesn't know is that nobody fancies his writing. And we didn't have the heart to break it to him. We'll leave him to his delusions. At least he'll be happy.
Here's something he wrote that he likes immensely. We, well, we think it's OK.

We write because we must, we write because we are members of the human race. From the beginning of humankind to the present, we as a race have always been attempting to communicate in one way or another.
Writing is one of those ways.
We write because we’re human. And we have stories to tell. Stories of love, of romance, of heroic struggles. We write because deep within us we must tell our stories, lest they (and the memory of “us”) be lost to the winds of time.
We write because we want to leave a legacy, a memory, in order that others may know that we had passed this way, and that we had lived.
Thus we write as a witness to our lives — for ourselves and for posterity.

Sheesh, who writes like that anymore these days? He also likes this one:

In the movie “Dead Poets Society”, the inspirational teacher, John Keating (played brilliantly by Robin Williams) said:
"We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion.
And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for.
To quote from Whitman, 'O me! O life!... of the questions of these recurring; of the endless trains of the faithless--of cities filled with the foolish; what good amid these, O me, O life?' Answer. That you are here--that life exists, and identity; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse.
That the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?"
The powerful play of of the human drama goes on; it has been going on for millennia, and will continue to go on for as long humans walk the earth. It goes on because life exists, and identity. Tap the archetypes of identity and the verse you contribute will be nothing short of magnificent.

Hmm...we think that ought to be enough. We have better things to do than to talk about some delusional guy who fancies himself a writer. So, we'll be off now. Talk to y'all later.
