Kevin Hamlin

Growing up in the Great Smoky mountains of Western North Carolina sure had a great impact on my love for the great outdoors. If you've never been to the Great Smoky mountains, you need to go, especially in the fall when the leaves begin to turn in color. It's a site to behold! When I was sixteen, myself and my Mom and my sister and my younger brother relocated to the Dallas/ Fort Worth area in July 1978 due to my mothers job. Talk about a complete culture shock, coming from a high school in Western North Carolina where there were only about 650 total students in 9th through 12th grades to a school with over 1800 students. Needless to say, it was an experience I'll never forget.

After high school I joined the U.S. Navy and spent most of my active duty time in San Diego, CA. My job in the Navy was classified as "Storekeeper". Sure taught me a lot and has helped me even today with my organization skills. After my discharge from active service I remained in the U.S. Navy reserves for 3 more years making my total enlisted time 6 years. WOW... it's now been 30 years ago that all of that transpired in my life. Since then I've had several different careers and the whole time I always yearned to have my own successful business.

In the very early 1990's my wife and I attempted, tried and failed miserably at network marketing. We both believed in the concept but never could quit pull it all together. So, like most folks that get involved with a network marketing opportunity we decided to part ways with the idea and continued on with our 8 to 5 jobs. Sometimes we would mention to one another, hey! wonder where we'd be right now in that business opportunity if we would have kept going. Who knows? Nevertheless, we both still have that same desire and we're fully aware of what has happened in our economy making that desire even stronger than ever before.

We both still have our 8 to 5 jobs where my wife is in the mortgage industry and has been for nearly 30 years and "man" have things sure changed in that industry. Myself, I'm in the music industry and my title is "Professional Entertainment Transportation Specialist" long name for bus driver. Now, I do have to say that the buses I operate are not anything like a school bus or Greyhound bus, (no disrespect to either of those type of buses). I actually drive a 45' Prevost entertainer coach which are really nice on the inside if you've never seen one. I've had the great opportunity to drive for some of music's greatest entertainers and have meet many outstanding individuals.

Being away from your family though is really difficult. Traveling all across the US and Canada from late winter to late fall and being gone sometimes for as much as 2 to 3 months at a time takes a toll on you. Even through all of the wonderful sights and scenes and wonderful and not so wonderful people I've meet that burning desire to make a better life for me and my family has always been there. I've recently became involved with another direct sales company and have very high regards for the opportunity that it offers to all it's associates. I've become a student of the BetterNetworker community to help lift me to new heights and in doing so I plan on helping others reach their dreams by implementing a serve with a "servants heart attitude".
