About Me
In the beginning
As an only child, of an only child, and I have and only child there are not a lot of family to speak of.
We three live happily together. Three generations of one.
Born to be wild!
I think that I was born an entrepreneur. As a high school student I held a job, went to voc-tech for hospitality & travel and cosmetology school all at the same time. I would much rather make an appt with the teacher for a hair cut in the restroom than sit in class learning how to be a good employee. I almost passed up my senior trip for the chance to studying for my state board test to get my license for cosmetology.
Temporary Insanity
After working on building a clientele in the Montgomery Wards Salon. I met my ex-hubby. Temporarily lost my mind and left my clientele to run off across country to Texas and fall in love. What an experience, living in the car for almost a month. Too proud to go home after the way I left, so we made it work, after finding work. Went back home after we got bored 8 months later. With no clientele to speak of I went to work for Fantastic Sam's.
Fast Forward
13 years of the married, scrimp, work, school, work, no money, argue, baby, argue, Divorce!!!.
On a Mission
You see I’m a single mom of now a 13 year old.
When she was 4 I decided then that I didn't want to be a weekend mom. At that point in life I decided to start a business. Something that I could do from anywhere and not be tied down. Something that I could make unlimited income and it would roll in if I worked that month or not. Most important was that when my daughter was older and really needed me to be present in the home I could comfortably be there. Was that too much to ask? Was such a thing possible?
The Journey
I found Mary Kay. A great company to work with. I learned so much about business, people, and life in general. I went to all the conventions made some life long friends and still use the products today (as you can see from my pic)LOL. I thank God for Mary Kay because that was the start of something grand.
I got BIT!!!
You see I got bit by the MLM bug. I found out that you can really have it all. There was another way.
I Quit!!
That bug bit me hard! Yes that's right I Quit! MK was going good and my JOB sucked and was making me physically ill so I quit. Yep! I'm not working for anybody any more. If I can do it for them I can do it for myself, and I did, until...THE ECONOMY went down.
Just in time
As the economy was getting worse and still is. I thought I was going to have to bite the bit and get another J.O.B. after all. that was about 3 years ago in 2005. Thank God I went to that last MK convention and was wearing my new pins with my new MK bag when I took a trip to the post office. I Meet Colleen a lady who needed some makeup and ask if I had it.
Quick lesson: If you're going to be in business stock your product. for quick delivery.
Long Story Short
Colleen was with Ameriplan and I was ready for an opportunity that made sense and was right for the times we were living in. 6 months into Ameriplan I liquidated my MK business busted my pink bubble and grabbed Ameriplan by the horns. With so many people needing affordable health care, my greatest Ameriplan story has yet to be told, so stay tuned for that.
The best is yet to come
I am proud to say that yes. Such a life is possible. Paris, my daughter is now 13 years, and I have accomplished what I set out to do. Five years ago I quit my J.O.B. and have worked for myself ever since. I am at home for her and all her many activities. Here when she is sick or just has a day off from school. Was it easy? NO. Was it worth it? Defiantly!
You see my theory is that life is work, and we all have to work for ourselves or for someone else. So being that we have to work why not do it for yourself with something that you love so much that you would do it for free, and that way it doesn’t feel like work at all and your still make money.
Live life without LIMITS
So you see, I’m here to meet people and help them find a way to make money doing what they love. In general I love helping people, that’s why I worked in a hospital for 8 years and also did hair for 16 years. Both of those fields were fun and I try to learn from every experience. What I learned is that they both had limitations. I wanted a life with no limits.
