I am a widow who despite being disabled and additionally is living with an incurable disease, I got up and went to work every day. I worked hard because I loved what I did, but hated my job, if that makes any sense. LOL! So there I was spinning my wheels and going nowhere fast. I began to look into working from home. I wanted to have more time with my 2 daughters and time to take care of me. I thought what the heck, I can work my job while I get something going, then when I begin generating some income, I’ll quit my job so that I can really devote myself to it. I spent about 3 years researching various types of home and online businesses, studying various marketing techniques, advertising, learning web and graphic design, time management, and so forth. I finally set a target date to go into action and was getting really excited. I was revved up and ready to go! Then boom, the bomb landed, less than a month away from my target date of actually going into action and launching my business, I lost my 10 year job, which snowballed into me losing my pc, my apartment, and well, you get the picture. Unemployment was short lived and could not support my lifestyle. Another job wasn’t happening either as I am not a youngster anymore, and being I am also disabled, I was quickly overlooked in the hiring process for a new job, despite the 10 years of recent experience in my field. I continued to work with others outside of my job sharing with them my experiences and how I cope with, and am conquering my disease and saw how much that helped me with my attitude. I realized I had to change my thinking and stop being mad at the world and dump the feeling sorry for myself attitude. I developed a goal of wanting to stop surviving and start living! Life for me today is about always striving to do better, pushing for positive change, and motivating those I work with towards growth and personal development. I myself will not survive for long without it. It isn’t just getting motivated and motivating others, but a complete lifestyle in itself. A lifestyle of constant change, continued education, growth and sharing my strengths with others so that they too can reap the rewards of a positive outlook. I have since become the treasurer and CFO for a large local non-profit organization, sponsor multiple people in their private lives as a one on one life coach, and am ready to spread my ability to support and provide encouragement to those who are willing to utilize it, into the internet marketing arena. I was recently able to purchase a new pc and now have multiple software items with resale rights that can show others how to get started with a home based business, plus I am learning about making Ebooks. My next step is getting a website (or sites) up. I'm trying to decide if I am going to do a debut on eBay... I am still waiting on housing and am currently staying with a friend. I am not willing to give up on my goal of making a life for myself and enjoying it. Besides, I have learned that the best measurement of success is not how much money you have or make, but the obstacles you have overcome to get there!
