About Me

Just wanted you to know a little about me. To truly know why I'm here, at this place, at this time, you have to know a little about where I came from. Being raised in a small town in middle Georgia I was taught the ethics of work at a very early age. You see, my father was a sign painter (as he described himself). But what he really was and still is even at the age of 87 is an entrepreneur. AS a young man he was working for the southern pacific railroad as a switchman when an opportunity arose one day that would allow him to stay inside the railway station and out of the hot sun instead of walking the tracks. During those days there was an electrical panel inside the switch house that was covered with small lights. At the time they were just using pieces of paper taped underneath each light so it could be identified. My dad asked the boss why someone didn't just paint labels below each of the switches? So he decided that since my dad had good penmanship he'd probably be a good painter and sent him down to buy the supplies and paint those numbers. He did such a good job that the boss recommended him to several others to do some painting jobs and so was born "Taylor Sign Co." as it was called for many years. By this point I guess you're wondering what does all this have to do with work ethics and especially network marketing work ethics. Well you see my dad went on to develop a very lucrative business because he was the only one around for a 100 miles in any direction that painted signs so he had the good fortune of being exclusive. Now I come from a large family of 4 boys and 3 girls and as each boy reach about the age of 9 my dad decided it was time we helped him by preparing the boards that were to be painted, so that my dad could actually paint more boards. Because, he was now free from the process of preparation. Mind you I think the preparation is the worst part of the job because it was very time consuming and no matter how necessary it was it did not satisfy any feelings of accomplishment other than to add to up to a paycheck and at twenty-five cents an hour you could make a whole dollar after school and almost two on Saturdays. My point is that even though this particular task was not profit producing it was a necessary step to produce the final product. And each one of us had to be trained on how to operate the sander so the board was smooth enough to paint. Then how to put on the first coat of background paint so that is was still smooth and with no bubbles and then how to put on the final layer of paint so that the surface would still be smooth enough to paint the letters on. We had to learn each step of how to prepare the surface to reach to final result. It was very important that we followed those steps just as you would follow the recipe for baking a cake. Miss one ingredient, one step and it will not be done right and will not produce the results you're looking for. So each boy as he reached the age of 9 was entered into a mentoring process from the older more experience brother. I forgot that, when I started into this network world of home businesses and after spending a lot of money buying all kinds of leads and lead generation programs. Joining this program and that, I came across "Mentoring for Free". What a blessing to find a group of leaders so devoted to building my success. If you're still struggling, go to my website, download the ebook. You'll be so glad you did.
