About Me
My name is Lisa Landry. I am a wife, a student, a small business owner and a cancer survivor. Have you ever thought that you knew what you wanted? Did you ever get it and then realize that your priorities had changed? When my husband & I moved to Houston almost 4 years ago, we had big dreams in what we would find in the way of opportunities.
My husband, Bill, hooked up with a brand new Nissan dealership and is now a Nissan Master technician certified to work on the GT-R, Nissan’s awesome new sports car!
I was chasing a corporate career that would capitalize on my experience and education. I even started my MBA so that I could differentiate myself from the pack. I was on my way to success, as I had defined it in my 20s, but I was no longer in my 20s and my priorities had changed. I was commuting 60 miles round trip per day, spending more than 15 hours per week in the car! I had taken this job after my last failed Network Marketing experience and it appeared that if I did not join my boss’s network marketing opportunity, I was going to start having problems. I realized I wanted a more traditional life. I no longer wanted a high power career…I wanted to make my house a home…I wanted to build a strong marriage and I wanted flexibility to be able to travel back home.
In May, my husband and I decided that I would take a shot at a home business again. I took the summer off. The first week I was home, our cat, Buddy, was diagnosed with skin cancer. Surgery was curative but he had to wear a hat so he wouldn’t bite at it for a couple weeks. I was so happy I was home during this time. If I had still been working, I don’t know that we would have noticed the growth. Buddy is a Maine Coon cat so he has very long hair that could have concealed the tumor until it was too late. We were blessed!
We had an awesome summer! In July, we traveled to NH and MA to see our families. I started looking for work in July but I knew that I wasn’t going to be able to commit myself until September. We spent a week in Dallas while my husband did continuing education at the Nissan Training Center. I spent the time researching home businesses. I had been involved in several ‘Work at Home’ opportunities before but I did not have a lot of startup capital this time and I didn’t want to deal with inventory.
Oh… but the summer wasn’t over yet! We had a blast going to see my brother and his wife, Billy & Nichole, in August. There is nothing that we didn’t do! Hiking, biking, swimming, fishing…we hit beaches in DE, MD & VA…lots of driving…Delmarva has so much to offer…a highly recommended getaway!
So, now it was time to work…what had I gotten myself into? I was attracted to my company because it is directly addressing an important issue in our country and bring free market solutions to Americans is in line with my values and is something I can be passionate about!
It is not a get rich quick scheme. It is a business based on consistent effort that over 2-4 years will help me to reach success as defined in my 30s, which are financial freedom and the ability to make a difference in people’s lives. As a result of having cancer, I cannot have children of my own but I would like to help you give everything to yours. Nothing worth doing is ever easy…but if you have 15-20 hours a week to dedicate to changing your situation, we should talk. I have also taken a PT opportunity as a tax preparer to supplement our household while I build my home business. It is a great opportunity to network and the gentleman that owns the tax office is local and flexible!
What is it that I can help you with? Send me an email or give me a call. I look forward to getting to know you and helping you to achieve your dreams.
Warm regards,
Lisa Landry
