I've been a celebrity hairdresser and salon owner in Hollywood for over 20 years. I've worked with some amazing people and have loved having this as a venue to express my creativity. Because of its location, my salon attracts people from all walks of life, and being in Hollywood has been an incredible experience.

But as time went on, I began to realize I had no exit strategy in place. Doing hair is a fairly physical kind of work -- you're on your fee, and bending over the shampoo bown, and your shoulders, arms, and hands are subject to the stresses of repetitive motion. That kind of injury is an occupational hazard in that business, so it takes its toll on a body, and mine wasn't getting any younger.

Yet, if I didn't work, I didn't get paid. I was trading time for money, with no end in sight. And through the economic dip, it seemed as if I was spending more and more time for less and less money.

Something had to change.

Well, being entrepreneurial, I've always been open to taking a look at new opportunities that present themselves, and I knew from being in the beauty business -- and taking a holistic approach to it -- that if you have the right approach, there's still enormous potential in this market.

So these were my thoughts when an international businessman contacted me to present an opportunity to capitalize on this industry -- to work with him in launching a major breakthrough in anti-aging.
