Marcus Holmes

If I could only share one thing with you about me it would be I am very focused. Whatever the task may be, I keep my eyes on it. I am an extrovert, for the most part, but I do have my need for solitude (fishing), it's spiritual enlightenment for me... it's so peaceful. I love to help people understand that there are other options out here besides the path of having a 9 to 5 (Rat Race) J.O.B. (Just Over Broke). It's become my mission to help individuals, while on my personal journey, to achieve financial freedom. I want to affect the world, and it's going to take money to do all that I aspire to do. I have been in leadership roles all my life. I came up as an athlete, playing football, basketball, track, and accomplishing M.V.P. honors on several teams in my day. I am a spiritual teacher, at heart, for I have a passion for empowering people. I believe that God has embedded in each and every one of us the ability to achieve Greatness. So, I feel that it's my responsibility to help people come to the realization of their inner Greatness, being FREE!
 
Aside from that I'm a Family Man! I've been married to my beautiful wife, Tonya, for 19 years and we have 2 wonderful kids. Marcus, 17 and Ashley, 15 are both in high school. I am really proud of the both of them. My daughter (Ashley) is an athlete... she plays basketball and aspires to play soccer. My son (Marcus) is an artist at heart, and he has a big heart... wrestling now! He loves to read, write books, draw... anything that can occupy his time, and of course video games. I love to go to the Gym with the family and workout. I try to be the example for them. I love sports, not as much as I once did when I was younger... I have to take watching them in stride, for they can become a distraction from getting my goals accomplished. My main interests is to impact my family TODAY, so that my future generations feel it years from now.
 
The best thing about having my own business is it gives me an opportunity to work part time on my fortune, while I hold a full time position in a J.O.B.. The immediate gratification that I receive from being a business owner is the personal development that is received in learning how to be more effective in business... also, in having the "Extra Money" to do the little things that keep the spice in life! This way of thinking helps me to appreciate tomorrow, because I know that I'm getting one step closer to FREEDOM. Following this path of attaining wealth, I am becoming all that God has called me to be, while impacting the lives of the individuals that I come in personal contact with and abroad, on a daily basis. Empowering them, so they can see, that they too could potentially become Free... in every aspect... especially financial!
 
For me, it all started when it was 3 years into marriage, I was working 2 and 1/2 jobs... sleeping on one of them, I was on my way home from the half a job and fell asleep behind the wheel of my car. My foot got heavy, I pressed the accelerator, I ran under a dump truck. That accident totaled my car, but it also was the great awakening (literally) for me to change my way of thinking and stop focusing so much on trading time for money. Years later, after finding a "better job", I got lazy in my thinking, and became content with making an o.k. income. It still wasn't what I was looking for, for it didn't cover the lifestyle that I wanted to live for me and my family. I put myself in a position where I owned my very own route with FedEx Home Delivery and I thought I'd made it. I was making close to 6 figures and couldn't enjoy it. I was sacrificing time with my family to work all day for 6 days a week... just to sleep on the 7th. Ownership is truly the only way to financial freedom. Building leverage is the key!
