About Me
I've been an entrepreneur all my life. That is why leaving Corporate America to become a self-employed person in 1999 did not feel threatening to me. My life experience had informed me that being a wage-slave did not suit my style, even though the paychecks were reliable and my organizational level permitted comfortable surroundings ... with an office door. Because of my interest in technology trends and evolution, I was frequently in the position of creating my next position because I had successfully made the case for its importance and necessity.
My familial lineage provided a long list of entrepreneurial mentors from whom to choose. Even though my role in Corporate America was primarily that of a technology delivery specialist and director of talented teams who knew more about software and application programming than I did, people always told me that I should go into sales. With that in mind and examining my options at the end of the millennium, my best career choice seemed to be Real Estate. That career helped me leverage consultative skills that had been perfected as an information technology professional. The internet was just beginning to come of age back then. I was one of the few people in my Real Estate brokerage that used this technology to good advantage to acquire and develop relationships with consumers who wanted and needed the help of a good Realtor.
At the end of 2005, I shifted my career focus with an ultimate goal to leave the Real Estate industry. Real Estate was fun and was delivering a good income but my passion for driving people around and opening doors was fading fast and being a Realtor kept me tethered to geography, and a winter climate. Being an Internet Marketing Consultant might be my best career yet because it provides geographic freedom and utilizes all the building blocks that had been set in place. It also satisfies my need for variety for it forces me to continue to learn and grow with the speed of the internet. As a creative consultant in the field of internet marketing, my ability to connect with and respond to the desires and needs of my clients is critical. Remembering, always, that my success relies on building relationships, without concern about whether or not I earn commissions keeps the process of social networking fun ... and profitable.
Coaching people about online success strategies has led me to building beautiful websites. That is fun but what is more fun is helping people come to grips with the reality of entrepreneurship and branding. Many people in the MLM industry seem to think that they already have a website because they have one which is associated with their current business opportunity. They rely on the brand image of their business opportunity and that is a mistake which can lead to financial demise.
There is one simple truth, as attributed (originally) to Confucius: No matter where you go, there you are!
We all know that MLMs decay or disappear. If your website is tied to that business and you have not taken time to build your personal brand image, you must take your knowledge (and hopefully your downline) along with you to the next business. Another reality is that people don't join a business opportunity for the products alone and they join because they want to make money. Your downline wants to be connected to a good leader. If you have taken time and care to build your personal brand image, the success statistics of your downline are your legacy and you are the leader whom people want to connect with and follow for life.
If what I have written interests you and these concepts are foreign to you, why not connect with me, learn more about me and listen to what I have to say? I won't waste your time with mundane internet marketing foolishness. I will produce valuable information that you can use, in any business model, and become a committed partner with a stake in your success and online reputation.
Making good connections is essential when you are in business. When that business is yours, it is critical to partner with people who share your passion for success and spur the creative process of causing that to occur. I am an entrepreneur and I am here to expand my network of business associates. My primary focus is creating marketing strategies and building business success.
I'd love to come to know you, even if your business is not online. I hope to make your acquaintance. When minds come together to work toward a common goal, life is much more interesting and fun!
