            What Is

  I.A.S.S.A.C.  M.E.R.T.S

Greetings, Welcome to my Bio

I have always loved to work with my hands and mind and will continue to do so as it keeps me young at heart. I am thankful for all the trials and tribulations that came about as a result of deciding to step out from my comfort zone many years ago. Delving into the unknown can be

the most exciting thing a person ever does. It was through this "Idea" that caused me to better undestand how the powerful laws of "Divine Intervention" or "Providence" or "Infinite Intelligence" can move in our lives

if we have a great purpose. Helping others achieve a better quality of life, is always a worthwhile endeavor and will never go out of style.

You might be wondering what in the world is I.S.S.A.C., what does it do, what is it for, how does this benefit anyone?

I.S.S.A.C. is an acronym for "Interactive Sensory Stimulation Activity Center", after it's creation a "Last Name" was added in the form of an acronym that

might better explain what the unit actually is. M.E.R.T.S is a "Multi Entertainment Recreational Therapy System",that is "Disguised as a Giant Toy", that brought the spirit of Wonderment, laughter, and smiles to the elderly and children alike. I must admit ,I had no idea of just how positive the impact would be until I saw it with my own eyes.

The unit was placed in a nursing home as a test for seven months, residents are calmed, stimulated, and fascinated. One resident who usually bangs on a wheel chair becomes settled and quiet; another refrains from twisting and contorting his body in frustrated movements; and another speaks calmly rather than in a verbally abusive way.

Even though it weighed over 300 pounds, it was easy to move it through out the various wings of the facility, and would even fit in an elevator so all the residents had access to the interaction with it. Please understand, the photo does not do any justice to the "Effects this system has", but I can assure you it dazzled people. On the reverse side there is a theatre system with a retractable

television, complete Stereo surround sound system, liquid light display, lazer light show from both ends, dazzling spectacle of colored lights, electronic kalideascope, aroma therapy, sand art, eye and hand coordination, electronic fish aquarium and much more, even tic,tac toe and checkers!

The nurses were so enthusiastic about this devise,  "it doesn't matter what level the residents are at" says the director of activities and recreation; Whether low functioning or alert, they all seem to be fascinated with one part or another of I.S.S.A.C. Nurses also say " it eased

their job frustration and freed up some of their time. I.S.S.A.C. calms agitated patients, which gives us time to look at other patients who are more critical says T.Moss a charge nurse. I.S.S.A.C. provides additional quality of life for our residents says D. Kubricky, administrator and CEO of the nursing home. "It has brought more children to the facility, because they enjoy visiting with I.S.S.A.C. When young children visit,

it gives (the residents) great joy, so quality of life is increased. The idea was submitted to Modern Health Care who was running a competition for Ideas sponsored by Marriot Corporation. I.S.S.A.C. Won 1st place for "Values Integration", and was the only project, ever submitted in the six years  that could have won all four categorys had the application for the other categories been applied.

So with out blowing my own horn here, just know, if you have a burning desire and a worthwhile cause, "Divine Providence", or infinite intelligence will come to your aid and bring about all the resources you need for the fulfillment of the desire.

It is my intention to be able to make more of these units and provide a better quality of life to various nursing homes and childrens hospitals.

All it takes is a burning desire, time, money, and people who are willing to cooperate in a spirit of harmony for the betterment of another persons well being. I am employing network marketing as the vehicle to gain the time and money freedom I need so I can focus on giving back to those who might not have the same quality of life, and appreciate a helping hand. I am thankful for all the support from my family and friends and encouragement they have given me.

Thanks For reading,

looking forward to hearing from you

Sincerely,

Mark Fitzpatrick
