David Batchelor

My name is David Batchelor and the beautiful lady walking beside me is my wife, Suseela.        

We live in a Island paradise, called New Zealand. New Zealand is about 1,250 mi (2,012 km) southeast of Australia, consists of two main islands and a number of smaller outlying islands so scattered that they range from the tropical to the Antarctic. The country is the size of Colorado. New Zealand's two main components are the North Island and the South Island, separated by Cook Strait.

My hometown is Wellington (the capital). Though we currently live in a little village called Ashhurst, which is about two hours drive from Wellington.

Growing up

I grew up in several different parts of New Zealand. I did not have the best of times growing up though.  When it came to school I did not have an abundance of friends and seemed like I ended up with more enemies and people who really just did not like me for whatever reason.  When I reached my teens I turned to the wrong crowd which became just more problematic. I made one bad decision after another.  I left high school at the age of 15, so that I could start working and make money.  I never saw the point in education back then. I only went to school because I had to.

In my mid 20's, I got the travel bug and started travelling. I love travelling and it's one of my passions. So far I have travelled to Singapore, China, Philippines, Taiwan, Mexico, Thailand, Hong Kong, Australia, England, Egypt, Jordon, Syria, Israel, Japan, Malaysia and the U.S.A. I spent a year discovering the U.S.A.

I met my wife Suseela in Malaysia. Suseela is Malaysian/Indian.

Business and work

I was always interested in business, numbers, and making money.

I started getting my education from the book stores, seminars, and audio tapes that I bought. During the year 2000 was when I started to really think about making money with a work at home business. I messed around with paid to read emails and paid to surf programs. I guess it was my first $20.00 cheque that got me excited. I knew at that point that you really can make money at these work at home things and moved on to find a profitable home based business.

For the next couple of years, I got mixed up with (HYIPS) High Yield Investment Programs and Offshore Investment clubs.

Robert Kiyosaki

One of my mentors Robert Kiyosaki said, " Rich people don't work for money, they work to learn". He also said that if you have to get a job, then get a sales job because if you want to be an entrepreneur you have to learn how to sell.

So I then got a job as a telemarketer, and also started doing door to door sales. I am proud to say I am very good on the phone. I can do very well knocking on people's doors and making cold calls.

Well now in the year 2003 I decided to get serious about exploring the industry of Network Marketing.

If you have been burned by Network Marketing/MLM, join the club, so have I. So many people have been burned because of all the hype, smoke and mirrors. There are a lot of dishonest people out there, and more so on the Internet. In December 2004 I was introduced to 'Consumer Direct Marketing' which has all the positives of an MLM type structure without any of the negatives. I personally think consumer direct marketing is wonderful and a most incredible kind of business model to get involved with. I also believe that is the reason that we are attracting many top people from the Network Marketing/MLM industry. It's the only structure that I know of that has a documented 95% customer monthly re-order rate.

Learning from my mistakes

I then started to learn more from my mistakes and why so many people (95%) never succeed in MLM programs, no matter how hard they work and try and make it happen. I learned from other people who were already doing well with promoting consumer direct marketing on the Internet. What I started to notice was that those who were doing well had their own websites and opt-in lists.

I now currently have many business mentors and teachers that are helping me succeed with a profitable business and I am always seeking new ones. Let me share with you a few my mentors who have helped me the greatest when it comes to having a successful home business. 

My first mentor was Robert Kiyosaki, the author of the Cashflow Quadrant. If you have not yet read the book I highly recommend you do.  This book was my starting point in learning financial education, something that just is not taught in the school system.  Not only did Robert teach me the importance of financial intelligence, he also taught me how important it is to have a business system when building a profitable home based business. 

I was then introduced to Greg Dawson, who taught me why MLM/Network Marketing doesn't work for 95% of people and why consumer direct marketing does work for those same 95% of people. Greg had been involved in a number of MLM companies, but never really made any real money. However with consumer direct marketing, he made a million dollars in his first three years.

 
I then learnt about Internet Attraction Marketing and since using this SYSTEMour business has really taken off.

I now take and apply to my business what I have learned from my mentors and then also teach my group how to apply these successful strategies too. So that they too will have a very successful home business. I believe that we all can teach each other new things as long as we are open to receiving.
