About Me
See some of my pictures between Dublin and the Florida Keys - more to come soon!
Hi, I'm Michele from Dublin in Ireland.
I owned a successful SME Business Consultancy Company whereby my clients were divided between Ireland, the U.K and Germany. I built my business initially part-time while I was working with an International Airline prior to that, finally saying good-bye to my Airline career and launching full-time into my consultancy business, now a veteran of almost 17 years of experience.
Call me crazy but I was one of those people who actually loved staying up until 3.00 am working, but I was also fortuitous as right from the beginning I made the conscious decision to structure my business to suit my lifestyle which involved a serious amount of travel. I had the reality of conducting business with clients from a beach in Corfu, Spain or South Africa ...and thankfully, I still do.
I had a very brief stint in network marketing back in the 90's which I now look back on and laugh - picture me bringing the No. 2 in command of the airline I worked for to a 'business presentation'. (Hey! At least I got him there!) Thankfully we laugh at it now and he has been a great friend of mine despite my ridiculous attempt at the time to position myself as a business leader.
Funny how things come full circle though. My degree is in Marketing & Enterprise Development and I ended up lecturing in college for two years on that very subject, including modules on Network Marketing!
I'm a believer in 'do what you teach' and whereas I could reconcile my consultancy business when teaching new students about business, it always bothered me that when I lectured in network marketing, supposedly teaching people what it was and 'how to' - I myself had failed at my attempt, having said that it was not much of an attempt and I wasn't particularly inspired by the product - Oh how green I was!
So years have passed and life circumstances have changed with the addition of a family of my own and I found myself purposely seeking out a network marketing company that was viable for me. That was a few years ago now and someday if I ever run into any of my previous students, I will have the pleasure of telling them - I achieved in practice what I preached in College.
'If you do whatever you have to do for 3-5 years....
you can do what you want with the rest of your life.'
Kind regards,
Michele Rosborough
