About Me

Hello, and thanks for stopping by.

My name is Miguel Portales.

My background is Computer Graphics, Merchandising and Air Transportation; this last one I acquired throughout my military carrier which has given me the discipline and “skills” I needed to pursue my dreams and achieve my goals in life.

During my early years here in the US, I was determined to succeed in life that is why I never accepted things at face value and always found myself in a constant analysis on how to better “my world”…I used to watch people get irritated and frightened every time there was a change in the work place…while it was exciting for me to learn e new skill, others complaint on how miserable their life was going to be now that they have to learn something new…I always heard excuses like…I’m too old for that, or that will never work…so some how I got the determination to move out of that environment and not let that negativism to reach me.

Within 4 years of getting my first job in a warehouse, I managed to get myself promoted to the “Corporate World” and get an office job within the company…haha. For me was a great accomplishment, since I applied for that job about 8 times in 2 years…it was a great lesson of persistence…what were my motives?...I will tell you some day if you ask.

After a year in the “Corporate World”, I made a drastic change in my life and joined the armed forces searching for new skills and challenges that will help to get closer to my goals and dreams. To be honest with you, I thought the military life would be like in the movies haha…everybody tough and screaming all day long…not really…is just like every other job but longer hours…..my biggest challenge was to pass BOOT CAMP but now that I look back in time, it was not hard at all…90% is psychological and only 10% physical…and I am not a big guys as you can tell.

The biggest lesson I learned there now that I think about it is "how to deal with rejection” believe it or not…it just took me a few years to realize it…I was yell at, laughed at, called names, every single day for about 2 months…I realized that a few months ago when I was struggling with the fear of people saying NO! to my business opportunity…now that is not a problem any more…

Well, I don’t want to make this too long and boring.

Let me know if I can be of any help to you.
