My Network
Interests
I love the outdoors. Whether I am being active or just lounging about, if I am outside I am happy! Hiking, Kayaking, Boating, & Biking are among my favorites. I also do quite enjoy sitting by the beach, although I have to go pretty far to enjoy that. This leads me to my next big interest...traveling. And last but not least, my family. Other outside interests include Photography & Christmas. I am a big fan of both.
Activities:
I play on a beach volleyball team which I quite enjoy and my second favourite activity is having BBQs! I love having groups of people over to my house. Mixing business with pleasure is always a good idea.
Favorite Authors:
My favourite authors are: Joy Fielding, Michael Crichton, Emily Griffon, Ellen Degenerous, and of course, Zig Ziglar, Rhonda Byrne, Tom Barret, Michael Oliver, Peggy McColl
Favorite Quotes:
"Whether you think you can, or you can't, either way you are right." -Henry Ford "Rather than love, than money, than faith, than fame, than fairness… give me truth." -Christopher McCandless "It is easy, when you are young, to believe that what you desire is no less than what you deserve, to assume that if you want something badly enough , it is your God-given right to have it. . . I was a raw youth who mistook passion for insight and acted according to an obscure, gap-ridden logic. I thought climbing the Devils Thumb would fix all that was wrong with my life. In the end, of course, it changed almost nothing. But I came to appreciate that mountains make poor receptacles for dreams. And I lived to tell my tale." -Christopher McCandless

About Me
My Journey So Far...
I want to share the ‘in betweens’ of my life. We are used to searching for climaxes, we seek drama, but are we missing something while we are waiting for something big to happen? I'm only 23 years old, I do not have that many life changing stories to share about me. But there are the little things that made me who I am today.
Getting Started...
Getting started means so many things in my life right now. I am 23 years old, I had just started my first professional job as an RN, I live with my boyfriend of 5 years we have our first dog, our first joint account, our first car, our first run in with “collections.” Needless to say, it’s the first of many beginnings.
I’ve always considered myself to be practical. My whole life I’ve played by the rulebook. I never felt constrained by that, until now. Th nursing job was taking too much of my life. (And I don’t think I have to tell you I certainly didn’t love collections coming into my life). Sure, I probably sound like a baby, what person doesn’t work nine to five, even Dolly Parton (who has never worked nine to five in her life I’m sure) knows about it. This isn’t the life for me. Where is the time to enjoy the good life?

(My Version of the good life)
One day it hit me, society has formed us in this sense and it is the societal norm, but it doesn’t have to be, I can take my life into my own hands and move forward. If I am going to complain about working nine to five, than I need to find a way out of it. Luckily I happen to have a supportive boyfriend/man I am going to marry someday.
Naturally, I quit my job as an RN. Sure the economy is the lowest it has been since the stock market crash, but I quit a high paying job to pursue the good life, the American dream. (For the record I am Canadian, but no one ever talks about the Canadian dream. Wait a second; did I make a huge mistake? Doesn’t the American dream involve being a productive member of society? Well ladies and gentlemen, I don’t think the American dream should include working everyday of your life.
Now I have found the vehicle to give me more time and money together. What I have been waiting for, but wasn't sure if it was real. Well I'm pleased to announce it is real.
