I love chess, its my favourite hideaway. I adore my dog, Dayna, even if my wife Sharon bemoans the day we ever bought her. White and fluffywith big sad eyes, the dog not Sharon. I have far too many children, ten in all, must write myself a note. I enjoy dining out, gorge on movies and have a wonderful knack of saying the wrong things. That's my Glasgow humour, dangerous if not under house arrest 24 hours a day.

I guess my biggest failing is I can be absent minded, can drive others mad.  I'm anyone's in return for  wine gums. It's my major addiction, my dad used to bring them home on Friday nights, a tube of them.

I'm deeply in love  with my grand daughter Mia...she 's two and lights up my life. She can make me feel broody, but don't tell Sharon....
