JoAnn and Felix Dueno

We live on the North East Shore of Oahu! My background is in the wine business as a Wine Broker,  and did that for 17 years! Felix was doing several different things, including a pool cleaning business surrounded by toxic chemicals, laying tile to pay the bills and assisting me with my brokerage firm. He is an Artist by trade and currently designing our dream house on the beach here in Hawaii.

In 2005, we were offered an opportunity to buy a wine and liquor wholesale distributorship which would have cost $250,000 plus, we needed trucks, warehouses, liability insurance, employees and all the headaches that went with it! Just in the nick of time, a friend of ours ran into us at a wine tasting of all places and he was looking great and doing well in his MLM business. I decided to take a look AGAIN! (I had actually "signed up before but never did anything with it) and decided it was something worth pursuing. We jumped in all 20 toes (both of us :) and never looked back. In our first 2 weeks, we achieved the next level in the marketing plan and in 8 months we were earning a six figure income. I share that story because truly anyone who decides to succeed in their business, will succeed in their business.

It is very clear to us, that we paid the price of discipline and of course MARKETING DOLLARS to get where we are today and most people are not in the mindset nor the position financially to do the same thing. That is why we started searching for ways for our team to build their businesses without spending the big bucks and to start gaining confidence and cash flow immediately.  This will give them tools to promote themselves and attract people who are like minded to them. My passion is helping animals and educating people on the humane treatment of animals. We have since founded a Non Profit Corp. "Hearts for Animals Wellness Center" We save animals, of all kinds, horses, dogs, one cat, pot belly pigs, ducks, chickens, cockatoos............They tend to find us.

My vision is to partner Hearts for Animals with the Foster care system (starting in Hawaii and moving Nationally and then Internationally) Our Primary business is our vehicle to achieve that. www.NoBossesforLife.com

Having worked with the State as a volunteer I came to realize that the foster care system is flawed at best. Kids are passed around from home to home and often homes that are less than qualified or fit to be taking care of them. Their belongings are transported in GARBAGE BAGS! can you believe it? I was so appalled by seeing a 3 year old sitting on a curb with her clothes and favorite doll in a black garbage bag, waiting for her social worker to pick her up because the foster mother decided not to keep her...The goal is to put an end to that nonsense!

Felix  is an incredible athlete and a sponsored surfer in his day. At 53  he out surfs the majority in the line up! He is a gentle passionate soul with a heart of gold. I am so grateful to have him in my life. He is my rock and we work our business and our lives as a complete partnership. I am the computer person, he is more face to face hands on.

We have two wonderful kids, Chelsea 17 and Landon 19. They are part of our BIG WHY!
