Nearly 3 years ago, I was merely existing.  If you would have told me I was going to have any of those titles in 2005, I would have laughed in your face!  I knew I wanted and deserved better for myself, my husband and our 4 children.  I had done what everyone had told me to do when I was young.  I listened to those who told me to get an education, work hard and everything would work out fine.  After going to college and establishing professional careers, my husband and I found ourselves grinding it out 24/7 and we were not fine.  We were existing and doing what I called the "gauntlet".  Five days a week, waking the kids at 6am, dropping them off in the care of others so I could go to work for someone else.  Committing my time to build someone else's dream, while others raised my family.  And the income...well, it wasn't enough.  We were living paycheck to paycheck, not getting ahead and really having NO FUN.  We were $48,000 in debt, couldn't afford to go on vacations and were seriously asking ourselves, "Is this it"? 

     When my husband had a serious accident in January of 2004 I found the wake up call that I needed.  Not only were we not fulfilled, living our lives on our terms, or happy, we discovered just how financially insecure we were.  My husband had been advised by his doctor's that he needed to recouperate for 8 weeks with a severely broken leg.  Because we were not financially in a position to be without his salary for that time, after one week, he was back at work.  In great pain and against his doctor's wishes.  It became very obvious that I could not, on my salary take care of my family.  It's sad to think a tragedy had to be the wake up call that we had to find a better way of life....but I am so grateful!

     I began looking for answers and I found the world of "free enterprize"!  I had always wanted to have my own business, but really didn't know how to run a business.  I had tried a few other opportunities before, with little to no success and really little to no understanding of the industry.  But,  then, in May of 2005 I found the Synergy Marketing Group.  The Synergy Marketing Group (SMG) was positioned with a fantastic travel opportunity.  I loved the idea of travel as it is one my passions!!  Being in a 6 trillion dollar growth industry really excited me! I love to vacation and everyone else I know does too!  So how is that for a market??  I also saw the potential to assist others in changing their lives.  I loved the idea of assisting others to change their lives, like I so desparately needed to change mine!  I really understood what it was like to "be there". 

     My life is completely different now.  My husband and I are debt free, we spend our time on our own terms.  We spend our time with our children enjoying family days, attending their activities at school and doing the J.O. Volleyball circuit of tournaments with two of our girls.  Football games with our son.  My income allows us to do all the extras we were not afforded before.  It's nice to not have to say "No" everytime we go to a store or when the kids ask to have a movie night.  There are no longer any limits!

     The SMG provided me with ample opportunities to educate myself and build the skills I needed to be successful.  I had a simple system to follow, educational and personal development opportunities.  Everything I needed to be able to plug into to grow a thriving business was in place. 

     I was able to leave behind my 17 year professional career after following the system that was in place after just 2 months.  I'm also happy to say I went on and generated a six figure income in my first year.  I have been featured in the April 2006 issue of HBC Magazine as well as the January/February issue of Simply Home Magazine.  Go to my website to read that recent article.
