Greetings it is truly a pleasure to be a part of a social networking community of like minded people within this growing home base business industry. It actually blows my mind how just less than 15 years ago telling people you had a home based business it was perceived by many as a joke and it wasn't even really respected as a viable business. However now all that has changed especially since there are scores of people these days actually earning millions of dollars from the comfort of home.

I guess you could say I caught the itch to have my own business starting at the very young age of 12 when I convinced my parents to let me take on my first paper route when the local paper boy was moving away. This early experience taught me the value of hard work and how to deal with people.

I remember the very first time I was introduce to Network Marketing was back in the late 80s when as a college student I met an older guy at the car wash driving a late model BMW. After asking him what he did for a living he told me about Amway and the concept of Network Marketing. I saw an opportunity with promoting the MCI long distance via Amway on campus since most college students made long distance calls. Needless to say I didn't get rich but made enough to pay a few college expenses.

Fast forward 10 years later I got involved again with another Network Marketing company, and this time I focused more on building a team. I finally understood the power of leverage and duplication which can be achieved via Network Marketing.

I applied all the "Old school" methods of building my business that I was taught by my upline. Over time I was able to build a a growing team all over the country which started by talking to anyone I knew who would listen. I did all the home and hotel meetings and numerous 3 way calls to prospects with my sponsor or upline etc.

Just when I thought I was on a roll and I was finally about to experience the coveted American Dream via Network Marketing with future years of solid residual income, the company went out of business.

At this point I was starting to think that perhaps Network Marketing wasn't for me. Nevertheless in retrospect, this second time around experience definitely taught me numerous important things.

1.) Network Marketing is indeed a people business that takes "Teamwork to make the Dream work"
2.) Network Marketing offers the average person the opportunity to use the ultimate Leverage and duplication to multiply his/her income. Something that cannot achieved on a job.
3.) I discovered the power of residual income as opposed to the limited linear income from a J.O.B.
4.) I realized that most people struggle and face lots of rejection when trying to recruit prospects.
5.) All warm markets are not created equal, most people run out of people to talk to.
6.) Most people find MLM hard to do which causes massive attrition instead of duplication.
7.) There is a need for more Simplicity and Automation to create massive duplication.

Yet again I took another interest in Network Marketing about 5 years ago,only this time I began to look for answers to some of the challenges that many people face in the industry. I just knew there had to be a better way to connect with targeted prospects and build a network marketing business in the 21st century.

That is when I discovered the power of using the internet as a marketing tool while building and prospecting. In fact I purchased my very first e-Book from industry leader Daegan Smith in late 2006. From that point on I began to study and learn from from some of the top names in the industry who were all teaching more "Attraction Marketing" methods of building a Network Marketing business.
