About Me
I have a B.S. degree from SUNY at Binghamton in New York. I've been in Corporate America for more than 30 years but it just isn't my grandfather's or my father's job market any more. So while I haven't quit my Computer consulting gig, yet, I've decided that this is the place to be.
My user name is ProNetGuy. I'm not there yet, but I find that when you call yourself by any title you are a lot more likely to achieve that title than if you wait until you've achieved it to start using the title. I do have more than 25 years of technical background but using large computers and languages like COBOL. Actually, I've found that the technical background helps me not be afraid of new technology, but the real work of becoming a Pro Net Guy, is on the non-technical side. It's the ideas and the content that really makes you a Pro. The steps to create an article on Squidoo or a blog are the same for everyone. But content (while a learnable skill) is unique to each and every one of us and who it is that we're trying to reach.
I've also learned that you can't be afraid to make mistakes. If you take a look at my pictures you will see a few of me dancing. I've actually become fairly good at it. You should have seen me when I first started. Two left feet. But, you know, after a lot of mistakes, it finally started to get easier and make a lot more sense to me. Well, after 5+ years, I've actually started dancing in some competitions.
I've been involved in a few NM companies over the years, but never really got serious about building a business 'til now. Look out world. I'm going to keep making mistakes until I start getting it right.
