Rob Moore

Hi my name is Rob Moore and I’m from Poughkeepsie, NY. I’ve had a very successful career in Corporate America. I worked for a huge privately owned company called Price Chopper Supermarkets. I’ve held many positions with them in the past and the highest position I held with them is Store Manager and they pay a very comfortable salary for that job. But with that salary comes a very high price.

Minimum 10 hour a day shifts, limited vacations yearly, attending out of town meetings that sometimes required my work shifts to be even longer and sometimes overnight stays, and being on call 24/7. As you can see, that position can be very demanding at times and it seemed like I was always there.

I have a ten year old son and a wife and we enjoy every bit of time we can spend together. I use to blame Price Chopper for this but I was the one who signed up with them. In the beginning it was all about the money but over time I found that my family is more important and I had to find a way to have both time & money.

I’ve done network marketing in the past but didn’t have much success with it because I didn’t know how to do the business and I didn’t work closely with anybody that did.

I had to ask myself some powerful questions. Do I really want to keep moving up in the company and continue to lose more and more time with my family? Do I want tospend the next 33 years working all of these hours at this store? Or Do I want to design a life where I’m doing whatever I want whenever I want with my family?

I came to the conclusion that in order for me to design and live an extraordinary life I would have to start working for myself because you can’t get rich working for somebody else. Period! But you know what, for me it’s not about the money. It’s about the kinds of things I would be able to do with the money that is important. I rather be out there traveling the world with my family and really digging into my hobbies and doing what I love for a living. And I was willing to make a change because I believe that life is too short to settle.

I am very fortunate and grateful to have found the solution to my problem. I joined Toastmasters International not too long ago to start my speaking career and I found the right mentors tools, systems, and desire.
